I think most of the shots look outstanding besides the bitching I have been doing about jaggies. If that isn't a problem I am sure I will be pleased with the graphics. I totally disagree with Halo never being about looks. Halo CE looked amazing when it first came out. I remember being really impressed at the texture quality.

Recycled joke incoming:

Are you cerrius?

Umm yeah thought the first Halo looked amazing when it was released. I don't remember playing any fps at the time that looked much if at all better.

No doubt the game looks stunning, I've been following it for a long time, but then a lot of games coming out at the moment do.

To me, this isn't going to have the graphical impact Gears had on consoles because lots of games have caught up, but it doesn't need it, because it has everything else locked down.
And also, because Gears is doing its thing, and Halo 3 is doing something different. Apples, oranges.

Well, I personally never played the game because of the graphics. I think it has a lot more to offer than that, so I was never really fussed.

That being said, the beta did look good and while complaints about the jaggies were justified when looking at beta screenshots the jaggies weren't very noticable when actually playing the game. Still, a noticable new layer of smoothness is present in the newest screenshots. I have no doubts that what we will be playing will be a step up from that beta.

I'd like to know this as well.
As long as there is Rumble Pit, Team Slayer, Team Skirmish, Big Team Battle, and Team Training then I'm happy.

If 6vs6 battle is in there (as well as TS and BTB) then I'll be ecstatic. Been so many times we were too many for Team Slayer/Team Skirmish but too few for BTB and 6vs6 was the sweet spot.

Yeah, but I want to know if there'll also be Team hardcore, Bungie recommends etc on launch day...

Well yeah I wasn't saying I just played the game because it looked nice, but I never understood why people downplay how good the first game looked for its time.

DAMN!

Frankie was *supposed* to be on the GameTheoryShow podcast this week but they are having another week off. To be honest I didnt have much hopes of it happening it anyway -- theyve only done a show 1 week of the past month.

Sorry if already posted, but i haven't found these pics here. They show the IMAX in London were Pharrell Williams will host the UK Launch Party next week.

6 on 6 should be the new standard, with one "classic" 4 on 4 playlist.

After playing loads of COD4, 6 on 6 is just ideal. COD4 has pretty large maps, though... I guess it depends on the average map size. But I want at least one option for 6 on 6.

Wow, I didn't realise it would be so big in the UK!

In fact, I haven't pre-ordered. I figure no one is really that interested here. I guess I'll be proven wrong come release night when they are sold out!

4 v 4 all the way, in my opinion. Halo is designed more toward those type of games.

But yea, I hope they get a couple of decent BTB options in there too.

I pre-ordered because I thought the same during the Halo 2 launch.

My usual stores had none I raced around all day and eventually found a gamestation in the middle of nowhere with three copies left. :lol

i read that the legendary edition sold out first in the UK. (not necessarily saying much but...)

If anyone lives in Moscow/Pullman let me know, we're arranging a LAN party on the 26th at the UofI and more Halo 3 is always welcome :)

Speaking of which, does Microsoft/Bungie provide any support for such things like Bawls does? (i.e. product support in exchange for advertising).
