I was waiting for the first New Yorker to show up with a copy in hand. Thought about going hunting today, but held off until tomorrow. Feel free to PM the location. :D
 
Did anyone else notice that the Marketplace blade background is the Halo 3 Chief model standing in front of Desolation from Halo 2?

Sorry if old, can't keep up, etc etc.
 
Trying to secure my friend, SnakeXs, a copy at the moment. When I succeed (or fail), I'll post the store name and location for you scavengers to have at it. :lol
 
cjelly, can you make a gif of the Chief doing the gun-finger at around the 1:09-1:10 mark? It's excellent for a "that's right" or "you got that" reply.
 
So, I ordered Halo 3 online, however I don't want to wait 3 days for it to get to my house. If I buy my version at let's say Walmart, will I be able to return the unopened game I receive in the mail for a full refund?? Do any retailers have any sort of marking or stickers that indicated the game originated from that store and distinguish it from the same SKU ordered online? Thanks.

Similarly, If I find it early, I plan to find a friend to sell it to for like 10 bucks less than retail.

Pay 10 bucks to play it early. Just try to sell it to a friend.

To be fair, Halo 3 was never going to be a Gears of War type graphics monster. No, the game looks brilliant, but there are lots of brilliant looking games out there now, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Then again, Halos defining factor has never been the graphics, it's the whole package that makes it.

No doubt the game looks stunning, I've been following it for a long time, but then a lot of games coming out at the moment do.

To me, this isn't going to have the graphical impact Gears had on consoles because lots of games have caught up, but it doesn't need it, because it has everything else locked down.

I don't see how they can justify banning you for playing it, it's the stores fault for selling it early.

You could just unplug your connection just to be on the safe side.

Other people have been playing it online without problems. I might search some places in Toronto tomorrow. Places that might sell me the game early.
