While I should (Though I'm quite bad at judging apparently) listen to DopeyFish and stop bothering, but my remark wasn't necessarily saying that I'm awed from a disappearing mark, but rather one that didn't appear at all. Keep in mind this is only a small nitpick (One that'll easily be ignored by myself later), so I wouldn't take my comments to heart. I'm just curious of other GAFer's interpretations of what the IGN poster meant (Because comprehension isn't one of my finer points).

I just went to my Comet, nothing there.

Also reaffirmed why i hate that place. The games section had about 3 360 games thrown in it, with the 'chart' above it, which had Top Spin 2 and Just Cause in the top 5.
My Comet reminds me of that shop in Napoleon Dynamite where he finds the dance video. Place is a mess, and theres crap everywhere.

Unfortunately, Halo 3 was not amongst the mess.

I'm going to check at the Castle Vale Comet later today just in case. I guess it will be unlikely but you never know.

Pretty late on this I know, but it does boggle me that all these European countries already have the game in stock, while my local store in the Netherlands won't be getting it in till Friday they say - and usually it's the other way around with this store...wonder why the shipping is so different this time around...

Well, I just got back and I think if there was an award for the most Pathetic Selection of Games in a Retail Store, my local Comet would take it.

They had quite a few 360 games, it's just a shame the latest on offer was Top Spin 2. :lol I don't think they've added any new games since this time last year. :lol

i thought they mentioned changing ito open mic for everyone? anyway, halo is really gonna suck because of this. i hope theres a custom controller layout option so i can somehow map it to the right side of the controller.

Hmm, actually I seem to recall reading that they had changed the talk system a bit because of the negative feedback from the Beta.

Anyone on any team can hear you if you are close enough. They call that Proximity Voice. But to talk to your own team, you needed to open a channel by pressing up. Now you have the option to just leave it open with no need for a button press. Not sure if it's the default setting or not.

Ha, I just walked down to my comet store 10 mins away and i walk in to spot some adolescent 16 year old fiddling at the games section (they have all the latest games at my comet, its quite surprising). So i tap this guy on the shoulder and ask if they are selling Halo 3. So this guy sighs the biggest sigh I have ever heard in my life and replies in some squeeky tone, " Ive already been told for god sake, we are not aloud to sell until the 26th September and we won't be doing a midnight launch." The main reason I want to get it early is because I don't want the story spoilt for me.

I mean, my E-bay purchase of Bioshock turned two weeks late, and by that time I'd accidentally come across a major spoiler of that game. Hopefully, just sticking to Gaf will help me avoid any spoilers for Halo 3, but you can never be sure.

That's what I do, and it's much better than push to talk as the on/off switch is in a convenient location
