A personal highlight from GAF customs night - the closing moments of the Neutral Assault match on Entrenched.

We're just arming the bomb. Stuff's blowing up left and right, as usual.

Hostile Paradox is giving me a lift over to try and hold off the disarming.

As we round the corner, I bail on the 'Hog and Hostile drives right in to make some room on the arming zone. I take aim with the rocket launcher and briefly debate the merits of clearing the field versus betraying any bystanders.

Then again, I'm not known for being discriminate with my rockets.

Pretty sure I landed two betrayals in the mix. But all in all it worked out pretty well. :D

Sure, I would be up for some co-op. I still need those meta game achievements and whatnot. Gamertag should be in my profile.

Think I found a flaw in Ber Ber Creek T, if you spawn at Red base, and go down to get out through the Needler tunnel, the back there is exposed for about 30 or so seconds, with a few "rooms" exposed. Might happen at Blue Base, don't know.

Thanks for the heads up. I just failed to see that two blocks there were set on delayed spawns (edited red base to get $10). The thing is, if when initially load a map, most of the stuff set on delayed spawns show up anyways. Even more awesome are the default objects that look like their there even after starting a new round in forge, even if they're set to delayed spawn. So if I don't start a new round I'll never know. I went over the map again and found that a default piece of cover outside was set to delayed spawn so I fixed that as well. This version should be much better:

Also wondering this. I thought it may have been for Bungle Pro subscribers but I would have seen it around more if that were the case.
 
It was a symbol that was never fully implemented into Halo 3. A Bungie guy put it there to mess with him, like the kids in matchmaking will bother him about it.

So I'm not sure how or why, but I was rearranging my file share ealier today and noticed I had five render minutes available. I'd used up my five minutes on the 7th, the day they replenished, so I assumed it was a display glitch. Thought I'd test it before bed, and nope - I had another five minutes.

Here goes.

Bait | This is from GAF customs yesterday. I don't remember the map name - it was awesome - but this was one of the rare moments for me when I set a trap and it worked out. Like moths to a flame.

Bomb Armed... | The one-man army mow down from a few months ago. Fear the AR guys. Fear it.

What the... | One of the things I like about watching saved films is how often you can infer what the player was thinking through the body language. In this case, it was something like, "Oh shit a Ghost....where is it....it's up THERE? WTF?.....Better stick it...."

Rat's Nest | I have a collection of clips where I'm not capturing any particular great moment of game play, but am rather trying to capture the "flavor" of a map; a snippet of a particularly crazy few moments that symbolize why that particular map is one of my favorites. This is the one for Rat's Nest. The magnetism vehicles have for the cliff side, the number of vehicles doing barrel rolls (three), the insanity of everyone converging on one point. Love it. I'm the guy in the Warthog that barrels in mid way through and nearly gets toasted by a team mate's rocket, bailing out just in time. This is one of those more for me than for you kind of clips, but since I rendered it, here it is.

Sounds like you already got 2 offers, but I'll throw my name out there as well. Maybe we can tackle Legendary with 4? Only downside (or upside) is that I'm missing a mic for the moment...

I had initially thought that someone else had taken it out with a rocket, so it was a nice surprise to see what it really was. That's one of the many things I love about Halo; the unexpected always happens, usually in cool ways.:D

I've had that map in my list of "to play" for a while and I always forget about it. The name is on the tip of my brain and I can't remember what it is (my recent downloads doesn't have it listed). I want to say it's called Antiquity, but I could be way off. So it played well, eh? Did you guys play anything other than Slayer on it?

BTW - Bomb Armed was awesome.

Speaking of maps that I want to play, I came across this one over at the MLG forums. Haven't played a game on it yet, but I honestly ran around it for close to an hour completely enthralled with the design. It's called Zaurak, and the design is one of a giant boat with a wrap-around dock. I've seen a lot of boat maps, but none of them come close to looking as bad-ass as this one. It may play horribly, but I give the guy massive credit for such a sweet design.

I reckon we should revive the Halo Screenshot thread when ODST comes out. I always liked looking through that thread when I was lurking.

Nah, man. The driver is more important. If the gunner dies, the driver falls back and gets another: the warthog is still in play.

Just sayin' bro, one moment I hear people saying you're an amazing driver, the next I hear you've got gunners dropping all over the place. I don't know what to believe anymore.
 
having a few problems returning to Halo 3 at the moment, keeps on saying I dont have cold Storage pack when I have, Ive downloaded it twice and still not letting me match, currently trying a 3rd time.

Answer - There is at least one object that can move it...

Is this from a custom game? Because I'm pretty sure Bungie changed that shortly after release, once lots of people had discovered it. I'm guessing they simply replaced all the power drains / bubble shields in Matchmaking, but custom games can still have the old versions.

Nope. That happened in matchmaking.
 
Speaking of stuff yanked from matchmaking, we had a couple of custom games that used the Flare and the Radar Jammer, and hot damn did they remind me how much I miss those pieces of equipment. The Radar Jammer rocks in CTF and Assault games. :\

This is true. In MM, a power drainer can move a bubble shield. Which is pretty humorous when it happens.

What is not humorous is the new setup for 2-Flag Valhalla Heavies. Wasn't a huge fan of that specific set before (which is sad because Valhalla is a gift from the gods) but now it is made 20x worse by the random teleporters.

Instead of random teleporters on Heavies, why can't we just have each teleporter let out where each team's shotgun lets out near Pelican? That way, each team has 3 ways out of the base instead of the normal 2.

Almost makes me not want to play Valhalla =*(
