I still remember when they played at the Cruzan Amphitheatre down by West Palm Beach in 2006. Chris went into the crowd while singing an encore song. He went all over the place; well, all over the first 40 rows or so. They were great.Sai-kun said:So, kinda off topic. Whoa! I've played some of this guy's maps for Halo Custom Edition, never had any idea he was involved with Scribblenauts.Kibbles said:This is a classic, I just found out this guy is also making that Scribblenauts game :lol He did a lot of custom maps for Halo CE too. Nice to see a halo fan I've been following for a while blow up like this.
Seriously, you guys should go check out www.mothergoat.net to see/hear some of his work. He makes fantastic maps, music, and (now) games.
Thanks. From what I remember it was tough to get it out of the base, but when it's in front of the base it's pretty to push it the rest of the way on default flag settings. That said I could give attackers a way of getting out the back more easily and push which would push the defenders out of the base and let attacking vehicles help more. I'll see what I can't whip up in forge and review the film.GhaleonEB said:I really dig the map, and how many different ways there are into the base. I've noticed that while there are lots of touches on the flag, it doesn't get out of the base very often. I think if there were a way to get the flag out of the base a touch quicker - leaping out of a nearby nearby window (for example) right after touch, or some other way to make the flag location not be quite so treacherous, it would loosen it up a lot. As is just getting a touch isn't enough, you have to truck it a ways out of the base as well as fight your way in.
I've been thinking that as well. Start a room, once it grows past 12 or so players split the group into two, play separate until the total player count sinks back down and merge.Blueblur1 said:Play, play, play until you get better. And sorry if it seems like I randomly ducked out. After one of those matches I was checking my friends list and I apparently lagged out of the lobby or something. Since it was so packed I decided to do something else and free up a spot. Next week we should try to set up two lobbies headed up by different veteran GAF'ers for everyone else to join.

Yeah but unless you manage to split yourself into two, one the rooms will be missing the awesomeness of random Flight Elite shenanigans.EazyB said:I've been thinking that as well. I recognized your gamertag on the metatag and sent you a couple of invites, at times when the player count dropped to 14. You probably didn't realize I was one of the guys in there.Domino Theory said:Yeah I wanted to get in on the customs, but the rooms were always full.![]()

I think with the influx of new players, we should definitely try splitting up into two groups per Eazy's suggestion. The room was usually full, which means there were probably several people who couldn't get in. And while 8 or 12 can stretch to play on a BTB map, keeping a room of 16 limits the good games to just BTB, and most maps are made for mid-size teams.Domino Theory said:Yeah I wanted to get in on the customs, but the rooms were always full.![]()

Sounds good, and I doubt he cares, but Blur brought it up first. Which map are you bringing back? Is it that slingshot one or whatever? I ask because on the page I edit the map list on, it has all the pics from when you showed that map. I should have a tweaked version of one of my older maps ready for next week.

We're down 2-0 and they're running our flag back. They've got both Banshees flying cover for their flag carrier. We've essentially lost at this point, so I respawn, hop in the chopper, and drive down to our silo, immediately set upon by both Banshees. I knock the shields off one, he flies past me in an attempt to flee. I bring the chopper around and shoot him out of the sky. The second Banshee is behind me still, so I swing the chopper around and SPLATTER the other Banshee :lol
Got a film clip, but I can't render it as I'm not Pro enough![]()

Yeah, Slingshot. Out of curiosity, how do you make you .gifs from videos? I've been using MediaCoder and GIMP+Gimp Animation Package, and it takes forever, freezes my computer, and creates huge files that take forever to scale down. I tried to make some .gifs out of the ODST trailer, and they came out to about 20 MB.Self Induced said:speaking of .gifs, I decided to try my hand at making a real one.

What does this mean for Ascendant Justice? Shall Coco (& ze others) be carrying on the flag of awesomeness?
I converted the .flv file to .mov for use in Photoshop CS3. The rest was taken care of by online tutorials and lots of messing around. Took me a while to realize 17 frames is better than 68 framesbig ander said:Out of curiosity, how do you make you .gifs from videos? Could ya be a little more specific? Is it a matter of not knowing how to get from point A to B? Cause I thought I'd made the main routes pretty clear in both the base (flag ramp) and the numerous hill ascents. Or is it a matter of those areas being to busy? I could understand this in respect to the base but the hill area is pretty wide open.vhfive said:i still find the base and hill area a little confusing :/
