berserkerbarage if you want to see the good side of GAF then a couple of things
1.dont post so much. yeah you just got accepted its exciting and all that but tone it down some and stop getting so damn butt hurt it will just encourage people. (devin takes notes on not posting so much. your not annoying yet but if you keep on posting so much you'll reach there in time.)

2. get rid of your signature. by now its probably a pride thing about not letting internet people get to you and sicking to your guns but let go of that shit. for bonus points you can go back and edit all you "b.b.s" out of your posts. which brings up

3. learn to use the edit button. on this page you committed a major forum no no called a double post. just go back to your post, put "EDIT:" then add. its quite simple actually.

4. last, play some games with some known gaffers. i would suggest blueblur he's one of the nicer gaffers and is willing to play with anyone. also sometimesimepic (thats his gt) is another nice guy too, he's banned right now but is probably reading this so just send him a fr.

i used to be into mlg alot and post alot on their forums, but not anymore.. i play playlist off and on but cant stomach too much of it

Got back up to my 46 today in TS, and am feelin' good about my chances on a 47 soon, but up this high in level I'd rather do it with a team rather than going at it alone.

This. I really don't see why you even have it. You mentioned something about being amused whenever people resorted to ad hominem attacks against it, so I'm getting the impression that you purposefully use it to provoke a reaction. That or it's some lame schtick to make yourself more memorable and recognizable in the community.

Bannings are very infrequent in this thread. We mostly get a pass from the mods. I wouldn`t recommend testing that of course.

Someone was saying earlier how Squad Battle population has jumped, anyone know by how much? I am unable to check myself right now.

And I hope you feel better now BB. Telling us off after all that time lurking must be nice. And hey, it`s a big forum, lot`s of threads out there to enlighten.

like pedro said there are only two that i can remember in all of this threads history that have been banned for things said in this thread. mods almost never come in here.

actually another tip for juniors try going into real gaf and learning the rules there then come in here. normal gaf is much nicer than halogaf

What's funny is that for all the crap that this forum/thread talks about the immature people on B.net; the vast majority of you resorted to the same asinine bullshit that they did/do. How pathetic. Go to the AJ forums if you want to talk with Voc and Cocop and the kinds of discussions you're looking for. No one wants or needs you here, at all.

Yeah, I've been lurking and lurking, learning everything I can. I think I have the FAQ's burned into the back of my eyes now. Rest assured I will be cordial and compliant unless I have just cause to act otherwise.

I cleared some room on the GAF Halo 3 friend list. Reading the last 2 pages I probably should've left it full.

I'm not on here too much anymore, or play Halo that much either. I check the list every once and a while so if you want on send it a message.

I should be more lively when ODST drops... Play nice!

ya, i forgot who he was until i asked shock one of the mods who he was. apparently he really didn't do anything other than make a couple montages when halo2 first came out, which was like what 4-5 years ago? and i honestly don't remember him on the AGP forums or getting any points? and i know for a fact he did nothing in halo3 lol

other than that the only thing i did remember about him is being made fun of for posting a pic of his abs on the mlg forums but i never really daddled in the off-topic forum so i'll let him explain that one. so yeah, i don't understand the nerd love but i gotta give him props for the pistol avatar. coincidentally when i first joined up here i had the pistol as my avatar.

Add me to the growing list of HaloGAF juniors (looks like my account was validated just in time for the thread to return to normal, after a very unusual day of pleasantries).

Like most new guys, I've been lurking from the start.
Which in my case means that the thread has been with me through most of my Halo fan life - I played Haloes for the first time less than a year before the release of Halo 3.

But I wasn't truly a fan until I reluctantly tried Halo 2 after a fun, but frustrating first encounter with the series (repetitive level design blew my mind in a bad way).
Halo 2 had me at the intro (which remains one of my all time favorite intros, cinematics), shocked me with the amount and quality of story I didn't expect after the first game... and wouldn't see again in the series (hopefully ODST will change that).

Currently I'm catching up on the books, leaving Ghost of Onyx for later after being stuck on the first few dozen pages of First Strike for months (the quality of writing got better as the book went on, but WOW, it started out badly). I'm very early into Contact Harvest, but it's absolutely fantastic so far. Staten is a much better writer.

I don't play much multiplayer, but I got the new maps recently hoping to change that.
Firefight will own me... as long as I can find people to play with. If matchmaking can often work in Left 4 Dead, it could work here, damn it!

Friendly warning from someone who used to consider Baltarstar Galactica to be the best thing that happened to filmed sci-fi: stop watching after the first half of season 3, maybe up to the Razor movie. Do not touch season 4 if you want to retain some good memories of the show's glory days. It goes downhill like you wouldn't imagine.

So halo guys, how about that game? pretty cool ay?

In an attempt to become more, frequent, with this game, instead of jumping at Bungie events since the middle of last year when interest faded, I've hooked together with a halo mate for a regular weekly session. The first session was bogged down with unbearable lag. Boo. Hopefully the next session will go smoother. Plus I despise high ranks playing in Social. I don't play Social to be dominated... rather I play it to dominate others. Oh well, give some, get some.

It really has nothing to do with what most would constitute "trolling" (ie posting something to get a reaction). Like I said, I've been doing it since I've been on B.net and HBO. Now, it's more second nature than actually thinking about typing it. As for the second part, as you can tell from the past 4 pages, I don't really need a "schtick" to make myself more memorable :lol

Although, I gotta admit that .GIF is pretty fuckin' awesome. Dude kinda reminds me of Luke, sans eye-patch obviously. If he had more of a beard, I'd swear it was pretty close to similar.

As to what Claude said, you're probably right. Steve does get away with it, but mainly after people have gotten to know him. I'd imagine that if he were to join a new forum (outside of where people knew him) he probably gets a few interesting looks when he ends each post talking in the 3rd person.

As to what Vhfive said, I'll take it into consideration as I'm sure it's good advice.

I hope your insurance covers that crap. The same thing has been happening in a neighborhood in my area (I'm in Miami). Some punks broke my cousin's window, took everything in the car, and tried to take the radio but couldn't and just ended up fuckin' it up.

How does Sync handle FLAC and other lossless media? I have a 53 gig rip of Loveless that I like to carry with me at all times. Would be great if I could play it on my drive to PAX.
