Do people not blow-up or man cannon the fusion cores at the bases in Valhalla anyway? I know they respawn, but if you're defending and worried about the glitch, can't you just keep destroying the fusion core?

Not everyone knows about the glitch and there's no guarantee you'll be at your base when the opposing team goes for your flag.

It's best just to remove the fusion coils and put the trip mines back just to make sure it never happens.

I agree with Kevinro in that if you can balance up there and launch the flag accuretly, then you deserve it. If, as a defender, you cannot keep the enemy from doing that, then it is your fault. In order to do this the flag carrier would have to be alone in the base with no one shooting at him for 10-20 seconds. If you were defending, you completely failed at your job.

Some friends of mine sent a Butube to Shishka months ago about "flag volleying". Most of the mainstream BTB teams know about it and immediately defend for it. However, doing it to people during Team Flag was funny. As a rule, we only do it if we're up 1-0, since I'm not a big fan of exploiting glitches in MM.

Although I did love doing it to BTBI before they knew about it and they were pissed.

I would like to see the fusion explosive removed, and a trip mine replacing the regen.

But it's still eye-gouging that it'll take until next month's "update" to fix this minor issue.
 
I hope they announce it this year. I agree that a comic-con reveal would be awesome. Since it's an animation series, it may take longer to create... but a whole year is a little excessive.

The new Recreation series of RvB is hilarious. Caboose is the main character.

Sent you a FR. I mostly play customs anymore, though. Not enough motivation to play ranked, unfortunately. Fairly given why. :P

Also, although I never got around to play in the Bungie vs. World playlist featuing the Sandbox variants, I did go through downloading some landmark names.

Workplace Bravo looks mighty good, and excellent forging. Not sure about the Spartan Laser and multiple amounts of equipment, though.

Stonehedge or whatever... with random columns around the map -- that didn't look too good at all. It seemed he crammed all the power weapons and objects in the middle. A random covenant shield door in a random area in the "bases" is pretty bad.

If you like Workplace Bravo, you should also DL the other 2 maps that JoeSki79 created: Pivotal and Pantheon. They might be more your style. Both of them are very good. Also check out Apex which is made by another H3ITWP member Madman REDUX.

If you're looking for more of the "medium to large" maps from the BvW playlist: look to get Eighty Grit, Haven, Salvation, and/or Borderline.

A lot of people have taken to Haven since it pulls a lot of concepts from Sanctuary from H2.
 
I'd just like to stop by and say I've finally been validated ever since I joined in June 2006. I've read this thread very often, ever since it came to be, and find you guys to be cheerfully insane (but I can't stop loving you).

I'd love to get to play with some of you guys.

Also, AR doesn't suck.

Yeah, it seems as if the magic button was pressed yesterday, letting all us long time trollers in. Gamertag is the same as the name, and I'm always down to play some customs if any would like to add me (be warned, I'm old and I have no hand/eye coordination). I even made a map that EasyB was gracious enough to mention quite a few pages back called Avarice.

I'll leave you for now with a youtube of me booting urk out of a ghost in a rather interesting way.

Add me to the list of New (Junior) Members who have been stalking all of you for a long time :D I think I registered around Nov08 and just got validated today. Feels damn good to finally join you guys.:lol

Anyway, I'm really torn with Halo3. I want to buy the latest maps to play in every playlist, but I'm also going to be buying ODST, which has all the maps. So I don't know if I should wait for ODST or just buy the maps now.

I'm kinda leaning towards waiting for ODST while finishing off some old games.....But damn I do miss playing mah Halo3

I'm actually surprised that as the ranks of regular posters has thinned, they've maintained the same cross-section of the Halo community. We've got representation from just about everywhere.

Which is why we are still arguing over the AR.
 
I may or may not complain about the heavy presence of Sandtrap on Squad Battle and people vetoing Rat's Nest, and getting Standoff.

Shishka and I disagree a lot with each other? Does that qualify me as a "juices"? Aside from the fact that Juices is a troll who thinks he can run MM/Optimatch better and I have no such delusions.

So quitting seemed to be at an all time high last night...I think of the 7 games I played not one finished with all the starters...

Why when loosing do people quit...what benefit do they gain? (Non-ranked I guess makes sense, but if you are playing ranked you are hurting yourself by quitting...right?)

Where is my Cold Storage?

Most under-untilized map of all of the DLC. :(

Also played some horde mode a couple of nights ago. Really looking forward to Firefight and keeping fingers crossed for some sort of matchmaking/public lobby system.

Anyways, some/most of you guys know me already... I've gotten in on the custom games the past few weeks... For those of you that do not know me, hi.

I've been around the Halo community (HBO Forums mainly) for roughly six or seven years... And I stumbled upon NeoGAF a year+ ago... I've been lurking like a creep ever since.

Hmm, sounds tempting though I'm not a huge SWAT person. I'll have to try it out now that I'm on a faster connection.

Is there anyway to reset your connection/host record? Would love to actually pull host after moving from 3/768k DSL to 20/5 FIOS.
