I still believe that Stand Off is the worst map for this game. I just personally hate the vehicles so much.
Also, I still refuse to use my headset to converse with these douches. Every time there's a general on my team and I don't do exactly what he says they either start complaining really loudly or start betraying me or the team. And people STILL complain about being a "kill thief".

It sounded like Global 1 at the end to me, but whatever.
I agree with all of those changes that you made perhaps with exception to the addition of Banshees.xxjuicesxx said:Standoff Juiced
A friend of mine was glad to see Johnson's death - along with Miranda's. He considered them as being a part of the Master Chief's Shitty Friends club. I'm less against Johnson per se, though I certainly didn't shed a tear at Miranda's death.Shrinnan said:Eh, I used to love the Halo stories up until...(Halo 3 spoilers)
Sergeant Johnson, one of my favorite characters, gets killed by the most annoying character, 343 Guilty Spark.
Was anyone else a bit disappointed with that part of the game? I would be excited about ODST's story a bit more if it wasn't for that little blunder in Halo 3.

I think the... tone of the series was hurt by Johnson's survival and prominence in Halo 2 and 3, and Miranda should have died a long time before she did. The Halo universe shouldn't feel obliged to focus on the Chief all the time, but it also shouldn't go out of its way to pervert the expected rules of mortality for secondary characters.

Not sure if your joking or not, if not I agree, I 'm one of the few that love BB!EazyB said:Breaking Benjamin > rap/hip-hop and anything else that comes out of a black person's mouth

Edit: Dang typos.... And I thought it was "Nobu 1" :lol
Nova 1 as in Nova Bomb perhaps?Sai-kun said:didn't watch the video yet. It's Nova 1 right?

Don't see a difference. If there is, it's to subtle for me to notice.Kibbles said:They should bring back the beta AR in ODST. The texture and shooting animation is better.

I disagree. He was an amusing parody character in the first game, but he should have died on Halo. I think it was a bit spineless to bring him back for 2 and 3 just because he was an amusing character - make new characters if the plot demands them, and don't make them superhuman just because.soldat7 said:Johnson on the other hand has always been an asset to the series, adding some much needed flavor.

There was no reason for Johnson to be with you at the start of Halo 2.
There was no reason for Johnson to come with you on the In Amber Clad.
There was no reason for Johnson to survive long enough on Delta Halo to team up with the Arbiter.
There was no reason for Johnson to survive when the Brutes captured him in Sierra-117.
Etc...
Every instance where you see Johnson being used, he could have been replaced with a new or un-named character for better efffect. The game would have so very much benefitted from having a wider cast of more believable people.
Basically.soldat7 said:Perhaps you're right, but there is a pretty serious Johnson fan club out there. Doesn't Contact Harvest feature him as the main protagonist?
A lengthier and more intelligible exposition coupled with a wider range of characters would have been ideal for Halo 2 and 3, for sure.
Oh yeah. Especially the ending.:lolOuterWorldVoice said:And sexytimes.
You just don't like to have fun.backflip10019 said:Ugh, infection is so boring and terrible. All the humans do is hide in a corner or room like the bottom objective rooms in Isolation where they can't be touched and all the zombies do is die time after time. It's horrible.
I don't know what your idea of fun is but being killed time after time after time by people standing in one corner not moving is not fun. Maybe that's all your brain can handle, I don't know.Dax01 said:You just don't like to have fun.

lol. No need to be a jerk, especially with a statement as untrue as that. Sure, sometimes the humans crowd in one spot, but what else are they suppose to do? It's their best chance at survival. Besides, it's coordination, and it happens rarely. I really can only remember one spot in which you mention that the humans do that, and it's near the sword spawn on The Pit.backflip10019 said:I don't know what your idea of fun is but being killed time after time after time by people standing in one corner not moving is not fun. Q. After Ghosts of Onyx, will we ever see what happens to .those guys . in that place? (spoiler avoidance)
ERIC: Maybe. All those decisions are up to the people at Microsoft. When and if more novels come out, and if they would like me to, Ive gone on the record as saying Id love to continue that story line.
I got 9 in a row as my best as the Juggernaut. I came soooo close to getting it.xxjuicesxx said:Another really tough medal is the Unstoppable medal. You'd have to first get a game of Juggernaut in Rumble Pit (3.5%) then start as Juggernaut (around 15% chance) then you'd have to play a perfect game. This is actually more possible than killing 10 humans but still mad fucking hard.
Props to anyone who gets these medals legit.
I killed the juggernaught then proceeded to kill 9 people, game over. :lolbackflip10019 said:I got 9 in a row as my best as the Juggernaut. I came soooo close to getting it.

Zeouterlimits said:That was your problem with H3's story?
I thought that was fine. Fitting end for a badass such as himself, saving the Chief and all. Being the Hero. Also having the kind of odd line about Cortana:
"Don't let her go... don't ever let her go."
I see different problems with H3's story, stuff like Gravemind and his decisions. I'd consider them illogical at times, especially for a badass hivemind. That and Cortana just "getting up" and being completely fine. Rampancy and flood mind-rape all in a days work for everyone's fave AI.
There's some problems with how Bungie work the fiction to satisfy the game. As the fiction continues to grow it might happen more and more.
Reach will be an interesting test of this actually.
