Im guessing that was on accident? I havent been on Halio 3 for a while, but if you elite players have gotten that good, I'm staying off. :lol

Considering the red dude's shields looks to have gone down, did the Magnum shoot out the Sniper bullet or did the Sniper bullet hit the Magnum?

New "chicken or the egg", imo.
 
Man, Tundra & Smashed back to back in TS, someone really hates me. The forging on Smashed is so bad...then I think about how many awesome GAF maps I've played that take a steaming pile on both of these maps and they'll probably never make it in MM. :lol

I have no idea where this shot originated (besides the general vicinity of Bungie.net), for the record, so I can't vouch for its accuracy or not-fake-itude.

If this Reach thing does exist, that would lend credit to the "ODST being 1 of 2 campaign expansions for Halo 3" rumor floating around.

We are seeing a new Halo title in E3. The game, Halo Reach, will be a prequel to the original game. This is coming from a very trustworthy, confidential source.

If the Reach thing was true, I would assume that it's going to be MS's Halo team doing it, Bungie has been pretty adamant that their next project after ODST isn't Halo related. Would Bnet still have a page/forum dedicated to a game they didn't make?

I don't even know why I'm contemplating this, smells like pre E3 BS. I'd love to be wrong though. :P

I'm not really sure yet. My speculation is that it would be Bungie. I definitely know it's a prequel.

As i said, someone should open a new thread on this thing, we might gather some intel sooner or later :)

Going out on a limb of disappointment here, but maybe Reach is the squad based game that's been rumored forever? I know it mentioned ODST's, but maybe they branched off into two different games, and it being a 3rd person or squad based game would differentiate it enough to have two Halo's on display?

It was smug satisfaction that I successfully pulled off the snipe-deflection move yet again completely on purpose. I do it all the time.

This was followed by "BR > AR"


Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a Halo prequel was being made, although I really hope it isn't by Bungie because I want to see them do something else for a change. Take what they've learned from Halo and start anew. Halo: Reach has the potential to be tremendously epic, though. The size and scale of the battle I got from reading The Fall of Reach could make for some really memorable gameplay moments.

Is it time to see what they achieved? All the previews I watch of E3 they are saying how they think Microsoft will try to shift focus on Microsoft Halo, instead of Bungie Halo during E3. They need people to get used to that are going to show their game. I believe that was from the latest CO-OP, not sure.

Hmm, it's a possibility, but I'm already excited enough to see ODST and I'll keep my expectations at just that. ODST. If nothing else is shown, I won't be disappointed. However, I'd be pleasantly surprised the next game is shown.
 
GameSpot did post that rumor about the squad based Halo shooter LAST YEAR. And GameSpot doesn't usually post bullshit rumors. It wouldn't surprise me that if Reach is real, that's what it is. We'll have to wait and see.
 
If there was going to be a squad of anything, it would make sense to put it in the context of Reach, considering there were plenty of Spartans left at the time. Beyond the total lack of convincing information, though, the rarity of book-to-game adaptations is enough to leave me extremely skeptical.

Heh. Just saying, I don't remember them ever ruling it out. Might have missed it, but it's the kind of thing I usually remember. All I can recall is when an Update confirmed they had three projects in the works, "some familiar, some not", before ODST was announced. Could go either way.

I'm sure Voc or Cocop could serve me some crow on this front, since they never miss this kind of stuff.

Edit: Oh, and I heard that the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV will be featured in Halo: Reach. It's from a reliable source of misinformation.

I was actually being entirely sarcastic in that post. It would be such a huge mistake for Bungie not to add anything to the MM experience in ODST. If they didn't it would play entirely like H3.
