Ahhh good old Jurassic Park. It was one of the first movies I popped in when I first got a decent HT setup just so I could simulate that same scene with the vibrating water.

But did someone forget the best scene out of that sequence? Where the cowardly dude gets eaten while sitting on the toilet? :lol

Can't wait for the updates and info to filter out next week...

E3 is still not open to the general public right? Are there any community events going on next week with Bungie/ODST?
 
This is gonna seem kinda strange, but indulge me. I want you to picture a fishbowl. Goldfish, party of one. If it helps, go ahead and shut your eyes. Maybe take a few deep breaths, but don’t go snoozing on me, we've got a little bit of ground to cover. Got the fishbowl in mind? Good.

I think it might have already been established that I'm a fairly simple man. Though I'm not eleven years old, when I use my mind’s beady little eye to conjure up a fishbowl, I might as well be. Where the more right-brained among us (freaks of nature, as they are) might be able to craft a flawless representation of a fishbowl, capturing the subtle motion of the crystal clear ripples playing at the water's surface and each small aquamarine pebble's perfect placement at the bottom of the glass, I see little more than a cartoon.

My water is represented by a lackluster stand-in, the scalloped line. My goldfish is the kind of crude approximation you might find on the back of a mid 90's Tercel, either proclaiming the existence of God, or offering a challenge via Darwinism. The only bit of dramatic flair my brain is willing to offer comes by way of three small circles in stasis. These de-oxygenated triplets, my cortex assures me, more than sufficiently convey the physiological complexities that exist to extract and excrete gases, thereby providing the goldfish with both life and buoyancy.

It petered off after I was banned for "trolling" this thread. According to Stormtrooper30, after I stopped going in there everyone else did as well. Honestly, I have no idea how accurate that statement is.

It was downplayed a bit, but there were more changes to Plurality than just making sure the walls are flush with the blocks they're resting on. Hopefully that will alleviate the spawn camping issues, at least somewhat.

The way IRC works is that any "channel" can be formed if the name isn't already taken on that server. The channel disappears when the last person leaves, but can be recreated by anyone.

And MW2 releases the tenth of November - it's very unlikely that Halo would release seven days after that.

I haven't seen anyone talk about the Haloscreenshots.com part of the update. Another knotch in Halo's belt buckle because I'm pretty damn certain there's never been anything like that for any other game. Ever.

Yeah, it looks pretty damn awesome and came completely out of left field.

I might have to try it out... eventually.

Next week has me excited. Can't wait!

I was excited until I saw the prices.

I'll probably get one.

Urk is developing a nice style of his own. Reminds me of a more facetious Voc, actually. Take that as you will, respectively.

This statement is full of truth. After Blur left, the IRC sort of died out. It may have been in part because we ran out of stuff to argue about, as well.

As for the Haloscreenshots thing, I think it is really awesome that this can be implemented in a video game. However, I'll never use it because having a framed picture of Halo hanging in my room would pretty much eliminate my social life.
 
When the render to video feature goes live, I'll probably switch over to it. Until then, it's the old fashioned way.

I'm making my way to the enemy base, rockets in tow. I spot someone thinking they're being sneaky. I take the appropriate action:

Unfortunately, I hadn't considered the potential consequences of my actions. I felt like the guys in Aliens, firing explosive-tipped bullets next to a fusion reactor. Just asking for trouble.

I want those rockets back. Unfortunately, by the time I've re-spawned - this counted as a suicide - and cruised on back in a Prowler, the rawkets are gone. Just a power drain and Brute shot left. Also, the fusion coils are back.

I start making my way to the teleporter, when a Hornet spots me. Run away!

Pinned in the cargo container by constant Hornet fire, I'm considering my options when a Wraith blast slams into the side of my hovel. I'm screwed.

I know the Hornet, in its desperation to get an angle on me, has positioned itself rather unwisely. I decide to go down fighting, Butch Cassidy-style.
