I have a remake of Relic on my 360, but this one looks much more confined. I'll try to download. Google search! :\Kibbles said:This guy put up a very nice looking Relic remake, along with a remake of a map that got canned (in his first post) - http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=924945

Either of those versions have the towers blocked off? I was thinking about creating another "inspired" map using the whole middle ground..Striker said:I have a remake of Relic on my 360, but this one looks much more confined. I'll try to download. Google search! :\
The variant of Relic I have is not blocked off with the guardians. I'm not sure about this one... can't find the download link. :\DualX2 said:Either of those versions have the towers blocked off? I was thinking about creating another "inspired" map using the whole middle ground..
I also have two more map concepts which are more original based that I'm thinking about creating afterwards. With the remade (yet again) version of TS, I don't think I'm going to worry about getting maps into ATLUS at least for the time being.
Look at the scope on that pistol!Domino Theory said:Anyone see the GamePro pic that had The Rookie from ODST holding a new weapon (pistol)? It's a scan so I don't want to post it here, but you can find it at HBO.
It looks a like a standard current day pistol with a flashlight (or laser sight?) attached. Hmm, it looks more like some of the pistols in RE4 than any Halo style pistol that we've seen before.Domino Theory said:Anyone see the GamePro pic that had The Rookie from ODST holding a new weapon (pistol)? That's definitely a pistol, it definitely has a scope, but it looks considerably different than every pistol we've seen so far in the trilogy (and we've seen a lot) -- character model looks really impressive too, surprisingly good actually. I'm a big fan of Halo 3's visuals and I'm not expecting any major fidelity increases with ODST, but the model's geometry, texture and shading look better than I thought they would.Domino Theory said:Anyone see the GamePro pic that had The Rookie from ODST holding a new weapon (pistol)? I support your claim. I have no proof, of course, but if the Halo 3 beta hex's are any indication to what could have been, who knows. Smoke grenades in a game which requires some element of cover and subterfuge wouldn't fall into the "improbable" category imo.Striker said:I wonder if we'll be introduced to a new grenade, as well. A smoke grenade would be interesting.
I was speaking of Halo 3: ODST, but k...AnEternalEnigma said:We don't need anymore grenades. Adding Spike and Flame grenades to Halo 3 was total overkill.
Domino Theory said:Complete overkill? :lol
Flame grenades are not allowed in MM whatsoever and only 3 out of the 20+ maps have spike grenades on them.

Yeah, I guess that's an opinion...AnEternalEnigma said:And what did you think I was speaking of? We don't need any new grenades in anymore Halo games ever.

How is it disgusting?

I would also like a sniper rifle that can shoot through walls.
Make this happen.
Oh and I am right about disputing BeazyE's comments of what's holding Bungle back. I brought Google to the table to show what their problem was not compare their size. Obviously reading comprehension failed some of us. If video rendering was such a huge problem with them then they should spend more time with their engineers and programmers. A simple programming solution should not be holding them back.
*edit* oh and I am never wrong. remember this

Tashi0106 said:oh hell yes! And then when you finally get up someone is waiting there next to you with a shotgun. Or maybe a chainsaw that could be somehow also be a gun.
Wait, what?KevinRo said:If video rendering was such a huge problem with them then they should spend more time with their engineers and programmers. A simple programming solution should not be holding them back.
A well placed smoke grenade can be the difference between utter defeat and absolute victory.Thermite said:Yes!
Louis Wu said:The problem is pretty fucking simple: rendering movies takes processors, and rendering lots of movies takes lots of processors. At some point, spending more money on more hardware defeats the purpose of offering a service for a fee in the first place, because they're spending more money on the service than they're collecting.
Is this really so hard for you to comprehend?

FourDoor said:To be honest, I had actually thought that the video rendering piece had a chance at actually being an add on to the actual game and not a BNet feature. Select a video in your saves from the 360 and then render/export it out to a usb stick. The 360 has more than enough horsepower to do simple video encoding.
That's what I was sayin, I don't know/doubt they'd be capable of implementing such a system with Halo 3 or ODSTD but in future projects if they could find to put the brunt of the rendering on the user's 360 they'd only have to worry about bandwidth and storage. I like your idea of using a memory stick but I doubt MS would allow/enable such a function. Currently the only memory devices you can save to are the proprietary MS hardware and I don't see them changing that.FourDoor said:To be honest, I had actually thought that the video rendering piece had a chance at actually being an add on to the actual game and not a BNet feature.
