Not quite sure what you mean. If you put a blue and a red light orb right next to one another they act as a great light source and really liven up the environment. They don't act like filters at all.
its even better if you merge them together
on that note here is what i have been working on its almost complete
red base obviously not finished

Perhaps Bungie didn't want to go and make Halo 4. Thus MS recruits some people who can go on to create a completely awesome addition to the Halo franchise e.g. Frank, Corinne Yu etc.
This is what I am expecting.

Even if it was a different team, something tells me Bungie wouldn't be excluded from the games development.

This as much sense as it would make I am kinda doubting.

Vhfive, try putting some cover on the bottom floor so the ants on the ground are protected from the harmfull effects of the suns UV rays. I'd also like there to be some sort of umbrella shaped overhang ontop of the middle structure to allow me to nade the middle strucutre from the bottom floor. Remember me trying to throw that rediculous grenade against backflip straight up into the air and hoping it'll fall ontop? Yeah, fix that.

If bungie doesn't put this map into team doubles I'm gonna be knockn on some doors dax style nahhh meeaaann???

*edit*

Oh yeah I almost forgot. It sucks that I can't partake in midday halo convos because of school but I don't care what anyone says, but what I say is right and justified. $10 is waaay too much for two maps and a gigantic fucking empty box. I'm paying for your effort put into these maps not their functionality. So yeah sandpit is a giant fucking box. The 5 maps flashback maps are infact DLC and Valve > Bungle

i like the roof idea and i have been meaning to put more cover.
this map should be farther along but at the moment i am busy trying to catch'em all

And then of course, something went wrong. I don't know if some kind of internal pissing match erupted, the guys at Microsoft went batshit insane, or what but from the time Heroic went free, MS has been fucking with Bungie and their content to the detriment of the Halo community and Bungie themselves.

How have they been "fucking with Bungie"? They put a price on some DLC maps because it will make a lot of money. Video games are a business. Microsoft didn't throw toilet paper around the outside of Bungie's offices.

Activision is the epitome of money-happy mega corporation yet they just let Blizzard do whatever the fuck they want because they know that whatever they do, and however long it takes them to do it, they'll eventually make something profitable and successful.

The day Microsoft renames itself Microsoft Bungie is when that comparison will be valid.

My feelings exactly. As much as I respect Bungie for the games they make and the support they show to their community, the splitting with Microsoft was to me an example of them showing a slight spot of arrogance. It is MS who funds the creation of the said map packs and it is their business they are trying to run. Perhaps the E3 fiasco was a bit wrong of Microsoft, but they see the Xbox platform as a business, not a side project while Bungie cooks up the next winning formula. At the time of the conference, FFXIII was the best announcment to make, saving ODST for a time that would lack announcements in order to keep anticipation for the console high.

I really hope Halo 4 doesn't exist. I want some new ish.

There's nothing wrong with Halo 4 being developed alongside new ish.

Aka a multi-project studio. Kinda like what Bungie said was one of their missions as a newly independent studio when they split from MS.

Mmm.

It's not why it was canceled, it was when it was canceled. The countdown was up, everyone anticipating the end, and then we get the letter from Harold Ryan... Bungie didn't get the memo until just hours before it was supposed to go live.

Ok so let me add a little to what I said. I don't want a Bungie developed Halo 4. We already know that Bungie is working on multiple projects and I just want some new stuff out of Bungie Studios. A new IP. MS can put out all of the Halo games they want, I don't care. I just don't want them to be made by Bungie. I'm being unrealistically selfish I know but a man can dream.

Why? Bungie knows what's best for Halo. Microsoft is the legal guardian of Halo, but Bungie will always be the biological mother.

Nah, you're not being selfish. We all want and crave brand new IP from Bungie. :)

Bungie is the only developer where I feel confident in the phrase "ask and you shall receive". ODST is one example of that, and I'm sure there will be many more examples in the future. :)

Beaver Creek remake is almost geometrically complete. Ran out of money though and I can't think of a way to get enough back without deleting the two light orbs I have. Really breaks my heart thinking about it because the crypt is really dark and dank and BC was so nice and sunny. In a perfect world I'd have an extra $80 for a set of lights designationg red and blue base as well as a pair in the middle to illuminate the rest of the map. Has me bummed so I'm not sure I'll be going back and trying to finish it.

Too slow Omlet :P
I'd like to see how you put yours together, if you didn't mind. My bases are in tact and right now I'm finding spots where to put coverage and what to do in the sniper perch.

Not that I'm drawing any conclusions, or anything, but here's a little timeline:

December 11, 2007: Heroic Map Pack goes on sale, with plans to make it free 4 months later

February, 2008: Don Mattrick hired by as an outside advisor to Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division

March 25, 2008: Heroic Map Pack becomes free

April 15, 2008: Legendary Map Pack goes on sale

July 7, 2008: Bungie releases Cold Storage for free (but with serious limitations, added against their wishes)

Late July, 2008: Mattrick becomes senior vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division

Since Cold Storage, Bungie seems to have had zero control over release dates of ANY Halo-related material. There are no plans to make any more Bungie-created, Halo-related content free.
Some good observation there. And combined with the public back and forth after the initial Halo 3 Recon ODST announcement between Mattrick and Harold Ryan, it definitely points to Mattrick as a trigger for some of this stuff.

I'mma go back to it this evening and at least make it geometrically complete. If I don't like it I'll just leave it at that for a while, put it on my fileshare, and put spawns, weapons, objectives in later.

I'm 38 you dirty ingrate.

Since I been busy over the last few months I not touched halo 3 for ages but today I decided to play the first area of campaign again for fun, the gameplay is still amazing fun but i'm extremely rusty on reactions and overaiming when going for headshots.

I also noticed my disc has a slight wafer thin crack forming on the inside ring, dunno if it was there months ago or not but I blame the CE stupid tin which was bent anyway when I brought it, way too thin.

<----- This will not change until you play with us again.

Hmm, maybe we can play tomorrow night or Thursday. I've been busy and had some personal stuff going on, it'll be good to play some Halo with you dudes again. :)

Fo sho dude. You haven't even been on AIM at all! Busy busy man.

Played Tundra for the first time... do not want.

Orbital Neutral Bomb actually isn't too bad, aside from the spawning inside the base part when entering.

Whats the deal with parties getting split up all the time in btb? They're always cheating when that happens :( damn bullshit.

Well, I did my time (in the jail of your arms). Hello again, GAF.
Welcome back! Hope you've been keeping up with all the latest BioShock: Sea of Dreams news. ;)

So I played some 4v4 Team Objective gametypes on Amplified and Regicide to test them out last night. They ran really well. I guess it's not fashionable to be making good Foundry maps these days, but I hope they get approved and into matchmaking.

For anyone else: there's a general call for original maps to save the floundering Team Objective playlist. If you think you've got a good map, get some gameplays of standard objective gametypes on it, and submit to ATLAS.

Top tip for non-MLG Amplified: needler on pink 3 for fun times.

You know, I prefer this title so much over simply "BioShock 2". I probably would have preferred it if Halo 2 and 3 had subtitles of some sort. I like the way the Splinter Cell series did it, for example.

like...
Halo 2, Hit Scan
Halo 2, Kiss your Magnum Goodbye
Halo 2, No Pics, No Pruf
Halo 2 XP
Halo 2, ESL
English as a Second Language - not as funny if i have to explain it - the Elites suddenly learned to speak English
Halo 2, Superbounce Edition
Halo 2, MC and the Land of Self Healing Wounds

and...
Halo 3, Sorry 'bout the Last One
Halo 3, Hammertime
Halo 3, Watch This...
Halo 3, DIY
Halo 3, Really, Kiss Your Magnum Goodbye
Halo 3, Don't Go There...or There...Or Down There
Grifball (May Contain Trace Amounts of Halo 3)
Halo 3, As Seen on 30 Rock

Too bad that Sea of Dreams is so corny. It sounds so sexually suggestive. They might as well have called it Bioshock: Sea of Man Juice.

BioShock: Seamen

Anyway... not sure if this has been discussed...

Who else prefers the old description of Legendary to that of Halo 3's?

From Combat Evolved and 2:

"You face opponents who have never known defeat, who laugh in alien tongues at your efforts to survive. This is suicide."

versus from 3:

"Tremble as teeming hordes of invincible alien monsters punish the slightest error with instant death... again and again."

The older one sounds so much cooler.

I hadn't touched Halo 3's multiplayer in months either, but gave it a try a few days ago. It's still incredibly fun, and while I can dominate in Team Slayer ( with a few friends of mine ), we all get our asses kicked in MLG.

KZ2 might have been a fun distraction, but Halo 3 is the only *truly* skill-based console-FPS as far as I am concerned. Small maps, 4 vs 4... Pure skill.

what limitations are these? is this why cold storage barely appears in matchmaking?

It is attached to the Legendary Map Pack. So it will only appear where Legendary can appear. It is also used for the 7th on 7 playlist IIRC.

Holy shit for the last time there's a process you have to follow. Go join Atlas, read the rules then submit any maps you think would be good for matchmaking. It's simple and if followed correctly will allow Shishka to completely ignore the community and sit on his ass all day watching anime in a more streamlined fashion.

Isn't Amplified still in the MLG Playlist?
