I think you made the "base" too big.. the inner part of the base was not that huge. so maybe shrink it a bit? that way the area infront of the base is given some room.

i've already shrunk the front down a little.

For reals tho, Bungie should have a change of heart and think about doing Headlong, Waterworks, and Coagulation and release it with ODST. If not ask like Certain Affinity or w/e their name was who did Tombstone and Derelict.

I'm extremely doubtful we're getting very many remakes, if any -- so folks should pile onto the reality train and take a long trip. I think some of you dudes should sit down and make a list of everything you enjoyed from those maps. Then use those design conventions and philosophies in Sandbox variants, which is largely free from extraneous geometry. You might not be able to get a Headlong or a Coag out of it, but you can probably fill the void to a great degree.

And Bladed, I'm glade you're working hard to recreate warlock as accurately as possible because that's the kind of map that people will probably most concerned with accuracy.

So I finally got the chance to put in the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack code from the Halo Wars LE, and it downloaded just fine, but they won't load in Halo 3 - I've deleted and re-downloaded the map three times, cleared my cache, even moved the licenses to this 360 (something I never had to do before) - nothing.

They just never load, whether in the playlist, or the map list - and I've tried everything - any help Bungie guys?

Not sure. Have you tried accessing them from a different profile? If they are downloading to disk without error, you should be able to access them. You might end up having to call MS for support.

Yup, all the other packs including Legendary show up fine, maybe with a couple seconds of waiting...

Map. Movement. Good G*d take your BR elitism elsewhere. Maybe grab the single pistol in the back of the base or the plasma pistol down by the gate switch? AR is a perfectly balanced weapon.
