Wait, do you mean "doesn't reset almost immediately, like it does when it falls off a map like Guardian/Blackout", or do you mean "doesn't reset for ages, as if you just dropped the bomb and no-one touched it"? I'm assuming the latter.

EDIT: Actually those are kind of the same thing. Option C: Doesn't reset at all ever and cannot be retrieved. Because it seems that's what people are assuming, but to me that doesn't seem how Halo is built. The whole point of it resetting after a while is so that an objective item that's inaccessible for whatever reason (on an awkward piece of geometry, an inaccessible piece of the map, stalemate, just plain lost) can be regained.
 
I forgot they'll automatically reset after X amount of time. (If you have the option defaulted). I guess this means objective games with both layers open are more easilly broken.

My brother found out how to do that using an actual object in the game, and not lighting. so I decided to try it out with ODST's and it worked. Hopefully it gets noticed.

Presumably they mean it simply drops down to the middle level like it would if the two levels were part of the same map in the old sense (i.e. the latter). The only way the items then reset is by the timer.

Put the reset timer to 10 seconds. (sure that will mess up the game a bit on the map) but at least you wont have to wait a long time for the item to play ball.

Yeah, should be, since Halo Wars launches officially here in Europe on Friday.

Awesome pics, guys. Makes me wanna play The Covenant and just goof around with ODST:s. Or maybe even play as an ODST! Mmm...

I thought you couldn't download the maps until March 3rd or something, regardless of when you get the game? Maybe that's not valid anymore since the maps are already on the Marketplace.

You'll be happy to know that Territories, VIP, and Land Grab are unaffected by this.

But really, it'll make things different but it just means taking the flag or bomb over a gap is a dangerous move.

And for whoever asked, the flag resets just as it would if no one touched it.

Seriously? What's up with that crap? I was building a one bomb map in the sky bubble.
 
I know mister vociferous took every object from default sandbox up to the skybox and was nice enough to save it so I snatched it from his file share but I would imagine you would just need two teleporters to get stuff down there.

I just got done building the goundwork for my CTF map up there. Took 8-10 hours. :lol

Sounds like objective gametypes will not function on the sky bubble.

To a degree, yeah that's going on. It's an oversight that puts some limitations on gametypes (namely rapid reset of objectives). Not a huge deal.

it's a pretty big oversight if you ask me. Map makers don't want to be limited to a couple gametypes.

I for one think its a glitch, along with the floating power drainers

I don't think that's the case at all, those who have recieved the maps have been very thankful and positive. However, this is a very major problem that has been discovered, and I don't think it's unreasonable to bring attention to it.

It's not fair to describe the general reaction from "Halo fanatics" that way, at all.

That comes nowhere as close to the Relic teleporter glitch.

Anyways, I don't think it's a glitch at all. Just the way they implemented the sky bubble and the ground level interaction. If I'm right you get the same problem on Narrows flag.

Yeah, the flag on Narrows can land on that middle section underneath. It's very rare, though. With Sandbox you're dealing with the whole of the outside of a map.

Use the game engine options to change the reset time on your objective items.

The reset plane is either "on" or "off" as a part of the way this map is built. If the reset plane was set to "on" you couldn't ever travel between the three spaces (crypt, basin, skybubble) with the objective and there was no custom game level solution to this.

This is a known behavior. This is not something we will patch.

That was my first thought. They should really look into a fix for that though.

Well, it's a shame to hear this, but I guess nothing we can do.

What about the non-falling equipment?

Getting your wallet stolen...while in church for a religion class.

Anywho, Boarding action is beginning to take form, but I'm gonna need to go find my copy of halo.

Kinda surprised Warlock hasn't gotten remade already, might work on that in the meantime.

How high do you think you'll be able to make? Didn't Boarding Action have four levels?

Anyhoo. Geometry is about 90% finished, just need to finish the cover on the base and center structures, add a few guard walls here and there. Then weapons and spawns.

Thankfully, I didn't have a credit card, just a bank card. Unfortunately, my bank was already closed when I noticed. Thankfully, nothing so far has been withdrawn from my account, so I think I'm okay overall.

Five, actually. I don't know if I'm gonna have enough pieces, especially when I start merging, but we'll see.
 
Sorry to hear that Metroid. I had a credit card stolen once. Some asshole in Brazil used it for a few things.

Ghaleon's map looks really cool. Love to try it.

I'll post pics of my Turf remake later tonight. Basic structure is about 50% done yet I'm a sliver away from a full item limit.

But I'm penny pinching like a mofo to make this work :D
