I saw that post in the Halo Wars release date thread, and saw that it was the same bundle, so I didn't bother clicking the link in the post you made in here. Therefore I didn't know it was from some Swedish website. 269 Euros translates to about $352, so, a pretty good deal.

The game's down to $40 new at ShameStop - should follow suit elsewhere soon. I'm thinking of picking it up again, I had to amazon it about a year ago for gas money and I haven't played much since.

Is it by choice or are you forced to play BTB matchmaking solo because nobody on your friends list is up for BTB? I find it hard to believe that you can't put together a party of 8 to play BTB on a nightly basis.

That video was pretty bad ass. I always love seeing unique jumps and I'm always trying to incorporate them into my matches.

Nothing is better than taking a route you're opponent has no idea is available. Like just the other night on Rat's Nest where I grabbed the flag and and used the pillar to jump to the level above the shotgun defender.

Yep. You should have seen it from my point of view. That guy was crouched and waiting, and as you moved to the top, he lunged forward, thinking from his radar that you were there. Then he looked around stupidly as he realized what'd happened.

A mix of the two. I pared my friend list down to the bare bones at the end of the year, but I wasn't really playing with anyone before then either. No biggie; matchmaking is a hoot most of the time.

I looked up the exchange for my news post - is it so hard to believe he'd do the same? (Turns out he got the info from somewhere else, in Euros instead of kronor, but googling a currency converter is pretty damned trivial.)

And it IS a good deal. I'm not excited at ALL for Halo Wars - but I called it that on HBO... because $350 for two AAA games and an Xbox is a fine price. (I use 'AAA' in the marketing sense, not the quality one.)

I got mine just recently too. Only reason was I got host in a Swords match on Lone Wolves. Got into another swords match a little later, and I wasn't host and got dominated. It was night and day difference.

So where's the evidence that a large segment of the MM community that wants BRs across all matchmaking playlists? I am interested in this proof you claim to have.

A large segment of matchmaking wants BR starts, do they? WHat makes you think that? Have you talked to all the Halo 3 players and they actually told you that they wanted BR starts? Most people here want BR starts, but everyone that posts in this thread is a hardcore Halo player. I would assume that people like us only represent about 10-15% of the total Halo 3 population.

I'm not saying that I agree with everything Shishka does, but Halo 3 is the most played game on Xbox Live to date. You teling me that Shishka is doing his job wrong? That's like telling Bill Gates he sucks at selling Microsoft products.

I would love BR starts myself, but that just isn't going to happen because the majority of players like Halo 3 how it is now. Most Halo players are casual, and if the mainstream Halo 3 population wants to run at each other with ARs ablaze and then tap B, then thats fine by me. In my opinion, the AR ruined any tactical quality that direct combat had in Halo 2. But this is an argument for another time.

I haven't read the last two, I'm planning on re-reading all the books before the last one comes out this year.

Also I couldn't find this Booties post, until I realized it was on this page and I already had him on ignore, I don't even remember how or when that happened. I've got like half of this thread on ignore though, so it all kinda blends together :(
 
I was playing sierra117 today, it's very strange how visually stunning some parts of the level look, and how H2-like some look. It's one of the things about the game that makes me wonder why Bungie was so happy with it so early.
