Yes I have a D-link router as well, and I have no clue to what to do to make my 360 have the highest priory. I need "Insert name here" for Dummies.

To Self's post, I know that game was so low scoring. We were at the Sniper tower, and the other team was at the BR tower. There was hardly any map movement.

I don't think most standard routers have QoS in their settings. Usually the higher end ones do. At least that's what I've noticed a couple years back when I was shopping for my router. I went with the DGL-4300 mainly for the gigabit ethernet and it was on sale. The QoS came in handy, with it enabled it's supposed to automatically detect packets sent over your network related to gaming and gives them priority. Now I'm using a linksys wrt54g flashed with the custom Tomato firmware That's a bit more complicated to set up.
 
So is it just me that's running into packs of people on their own team not playing? Up to four games in a row now with at least two players on my team not playing. On my last game, they finally did halfway through - to betray everyone over and over.

Quite the streak I'm on. Last night it was a five-game winning streak, but most of the XP didn't register. :lol

I just beat my losing streak!

And didn't get any XP for it! Woo!

Seriously, what the heck is going on? Is this a problem with Halo, or Live? It's getting very frustrating.

Happens on occasion with me. I wish those players would just quit out, they're even more annoying than quitters IMO (especially when the gametype is Team Slayer and they've got a 0 and 25 ratio or whatever).

Yes. I shouldn't have played yesterday, but I told my girlfriend and I am clean :)

Even then, Bungie should really implement that feature.
 
Halo EXP is like a drug. Don't snort it mixed with types of cheating, yes even that. Otherwise, Bungie gets a phone call and is forced to put you in rehab for two weeks. Say no to drugs.

Not really. But I'm keeping an eye toward that Vidmaster achievement. And before you ask: no, achievements aren't a big deal to me either; I never got all of the base set and I won't even try for any otheres. The only reason I care here is Bungie said a few times something down the road would be tied to them.

When all you play is BTB and games last 10-20 minutes each, losing half a dozen XP is about two hours of gaming (assuming a 50/50 win ratio). So it's just annoying.

This is the exact same problem I was having before. I would win games and no EXP until like three straight wins. I wasn't even a recruit yet! :/

And I just went againt my own rule and teabagged someone (actually, two people). They totally deserved it, though. I deployed a bubble shield because I was alone and two guys were shooting at me. I looked at my grenades and fortunately, I had a plasma. They both were planning to get me from the left and from the right so I was trying to kill at least ONE of them before they took me out. After one entered, I stuck him, jumped out of the shield and fortunately for me, the other guy was in there too and got a little too close to his glowing friend.

Speaking of Bubble Shields, I jumped into a DLC FFA match not too long ago and got one guy to totally nail himself with his own rocket as I put up my bubble shield. I anticipated the rocket though. :lol

Gotta love those.

One encounter I had once was fighting a player who dropped a Bubble Shield: melee, then back away - he obviously doesn't go outside the shield far enough, and he kills himself with his Brute Shot. :lol
 
Its not all the exp its also trueskill thats the annoying thing. Why would I wanna play ranked games that may or may not count?. I doubt people are going to be gambling their 49's during this BS. (I'm not in this situation I'm just saying)

And its about me still being down at low ranks because half my fucking wins aren't counting. For instance it says I have like 150 games in my history, yet if you look online I think the service record shows around 75 games. (Roughly 1/2 of my games have counted)

Although it is fun pooping on bad kids I would eventually like to go up in levels.

But bottom line its you expect an implemented system to work (especially a service you are paying for). If it doesn't you usually expect the last working one backed up and they can fix their shit and then change it back when its working.

I'm not complaining I'm just saying anyone who is has a right to. In fact keep me at low levels for ever. :D

'Tis a good read; all should most definitely check it out.

Oh, and on "The Pillar of Autumn" in Halo 1, after you get the pistol from Keyes, on a poster on the wall you can see "Lost cat: Jonesy" or something along those lines.
