Guys, when it comes to online gaming your ping is more important than your colossal DL speed. And the closer you are to the west coast, the better.

I'd recommend putting your live id on a separate hotmail/msn account so if you get hacked you dont loose an email account you use. When you set it up, use fake information that doesnt match up with anything that can be linked to you... that way the internet detectives cant crack it without some dumb luck. I have filled out my profile with the absolute least amount of information, and made the answers to my questions nigh impossible. Even my names are fake.

I have real-time bandwidth monitoring setup on my router and I sometimes peek at the graphs while playing and online gaming doesn't use as much bandwidth as you'd think. The problem is people are sharing their connections with other people in their home networks and leads to their connections being over saturated. When I go online to play I make sure no one else is using my connection, and use QoS to give my 360 priority over every other device on the network. I NEVER GET HOST. What method does Bungie use to decide who hosts matches? I don't think it's working correctly most of the time.

Verizon FIOS not quite as good as Nutter's but close...
Comcast speedtests are bullshit BTW (I used to have them as my ISP), they have something called "powerboost" which doubles your download/upload speeds for only the first 10 MB of a file. Makes speed tests with them very misleading. A more accurate way to find your true speed would be to download a larger (50mb) file.

Go into the router http://192.168.2.1 usually and then find your Xbox's IP the host name usually starts with none-SOMETHINGHERE. Thats your Xbox.
Then there should be some box to enter priority of machines. My router of course doesn't have that.
