Yeah. I dislike TS as the deciding game type but at least The Pit isn't as bad as Amp TS.

You will see them the most in the DLC playlists. All the other playlists you have to be randomly matched up with everyone having the content so it decreases the odds of it popping up.

so our party got split up (how did this not get changed in the update?!) so I booted to dashboard and somehow it froze and corrupted my gamertag. recovering gamertags takes forever.

Not all code in a game is safely modifiable after a game ships.

Unless there's some kind of data delay going on right now, playlist progression is still borked. I finished last night with 20 XP, after losing a few thanks to the Live intermittent. I just played five games, and after the first game partied up with some guys. We went on to win all five games in a row.

Now I have 23 XP on that playlist in-game. On Bungie.net, it shows me with 22. My Total XP also only went up 3 for the night in-game, despite five wins in the playlist. So I lost another two tonight. BTB games are pretty long, so I can only do this many each night, and losing so many XP is making that Vidmaster achievement seem really far away.

Any issues still going on?

In Halo the movement, weapon variety, and vehicles makes for almost every match to feel like a unique experience. Even after four thousand games I still see shit I've never seen play out and do things I've never done. And I suppose it's unfair for me to hold Epic up to those standards as I never really do the same for another developers; it's just that these two franchises have much more in common from a mainstream/critical/marketplace perspective that I cringe over how many people try to pass off Gears as a Halo-level game.

Sounds more along the lines of you don't like the gameplay rather than it sucks. Nothing wrong with that. Just different tastes.

It's happening with me too, Ghaleon. I noticed it tonight; it happened about the same way as it did with you. At the beginning of the night, I had, like 25 EXP in Squad Battle, and we won six or seven games; but when I checked my EXP before we switched over to BTB, I had only gained two EXP.

Thanks for confirming it wasn't just me. Hopefully this is more a delay in data, rather than XP being permanently lost like earlier.

What's the overall impression of Squad Battle? I've been romping in BTB since the update.

Got Slayer on Sand Tarp tonight, which is SHIT HOT. Did I mention Prowlers are awesome? I should mention it. Prowlers, Choppers and Warthogs co-existing together in a dance of carnage. It was gud.

So thats what was going on tonight, I thought I was nuts, playing DB EXp snipers and I wasnt getting any experience points on the wins!

About the DLC playlists, are they ranked?
 
Super Johnson and I cleaned up in Multi Team tonight. Some crazy ass hill control that I'd totally show you guys if Gamevee weren't down :(

All the map packs are erased completely from my machine. Has this happened to anybody else?

I take it you checked the hard drive in the system menu? or was this on boot-up of the game, sometimes it can take a while to recognize you have the maps after boot-up for some reason.

Yeah, it was only 100 or so megs there. I couldn't find the maps anywhere. Nobody touches this 360, so I don't know how the hell it happened.
 
Two amusing moments from tonight's romp through BTB.

This was at the very end of a game. The other team's Warthog got some crazy air thanks to a ramp, a grenade and a Brute Shot colliding simultaneously.

Alas - they tipped over the edge and got roasted. But a double barrel roll and near-perfect landing was a sight to behold.


Moment #2: We've just cleaned out four defenders from the base and broken away with their flag. I come around the corner and see where they spawned.

(Yes that's me crashing into the drop pod. I managed to crash into objects and walls five times during this escape. Don't let me drive. EVER.)

They were angry. It was one of those moments where grenades were going off left and right but we somehow avoided all of them. (Okay, the other team sucked. But it was still amazing to drive through it.)

Hmmm... Trying to play co-op campaign with 2 other buddies tonight and we keep getting disconnected after about 30 minutes. Two of us stay connected in the launch screen, but the third gets booted and can no longer join our game unless he restarts the game. Just before we get disconnected, the game usually starts to lag a bit.

It's driving us crazy because it (of course) seems to happen just before the save points. Any idea what might be causing it?

(We've tried promoting each of us to leader, but no luck, it's still happening).

Check your NAT setting.
 
Neat tool, but the amount of stress it would put on my connection and computer (especially taking pictures into account) would probably cause firefox to crash. I'll just stick too 100 posts per page.

Anyway, has anyone noticed that matchmaking occasionaly steals exp here and there? Just won a match and wasnt awarded anything.
