and TDG I guess I'm just preaching to Shiska and Lukems who read posts here, but I thought there was a lot more people here who think TSnipers is a bad idea...o wellz.
 
Snipers without radar, like it was in Halo 2, was ace. This eliminates players who enjoy camping in the Ghost Town building with their Shotguns less irritating.

Never understood why these games even have radar in the first place, its much more competitive and skillful to turn radar off in any gametype imo.

I am sure they get equally annoyed with you constantly telling them how to do their jobs dude. They know there are people that want the playlist. Hey who knows maybe it will be one, like you said it seems to be doing very well. TDG has it right I doubt anyone here would be upset by a snipes playlist lol. I just think it is funny people are gloating about a double exp playlist being popular, like you are getting us good or something :lol
 
People clamoring for a Snipers playlist isn't as bad as the eye-sore I read here about how BR's should start for everything. Spare us the convenience.

Besides, Legendary Brawl and 3 Balls is superior and certainly more popular than Snipers. It's well known by now.

wrap it in a towel. Two even. Turn it on. Leave it on. For a while, like maybe an hour.

Unwrap. Turn off, and attempt to play. If it doesn't work, try again. I did it with my launch unit, and after a couple tries, it worked and I got 7 more days of play out of my xbox before I replaced it
 
I got the RROD the day Halo 3 came out, I hadn't played my 360 in a few weeks, and I got home with the game, turned my 360, and gasped in horror at the 3 red lights. Then I did the towel trick, and my 360 worked perfectly for over 3 months, didn't die until January :lol

I did this for my friend's xbox. 2 towels... in a sleeping bag... with pillows on top. Check occasionally for fire.

We had mixed results - two towelings gave us a weekend's worth of lan play at a party, so it was worth the fire hazard. Then he sent it in, and you know the rest of the story: wait a month, receive a different red-ringing xbox, send that in, wait another two months.

When's the last time anyone's come in here repeatedly campaigning for more BRs or BR starts across all playlists? Seriously dude, give it a fucking break. Almost everyone here wouldn't mind a Sniper playlist, including myself. The divide between the two crowds is that one is being annoying as fuck while the others want them to shut the hell up.

And please, before you go back to bitching about the same damn thing over and over again, answer the bolded question.

WTF is the deal with game splits? How is what game that counts decided?

The people who DNF were split into a seperate game, which obviously we won since it was 2v1 objective.

It was just a decent game all of a sudden it went black screen and then boom 3 of their teammates quit on our screen and 2 of our teammates left and we thought we had a win. It just kinda pisses me off cause we had just taken the lead which makes me feel like it was intended cheating. Now I have another loss towards MLG and they system is that much closer to deciding what my BS rank is, even though I play beyond almost every 50 I come across.


Fuck I got so screwed tonite out of so many games.:lol :lol
 
One of my favorite things to do on Ghost Town (well, any map that has an overshield) is, if it hasn't been taken, wait by the overshield until someone comes along and starts attacking me. Then I just grab the OS, giving me invincibility for a couple of seconds, and I finish off the guy who was attacking me.:lol

And I didn't have any problems with Live when I got on earlier today.

To be fair, everyone here has had their fair share of manbaby pouts and intolerant dick-titude on this thread at some point or another, myself included. That said, Halo, as well-founded as it is, gets enough critical barbs from outsiders that internal vitriol is unnecessary.

It’s kind of depressing to see a lot of the conversations veering headlong into arguments ad nauseum about the same exact things which were argued last week, the week before and five months ago. With so much exciting stuff, like the reveal of the campaign expansion and the new maps, presumably within earshot, we should all work at creating a moratorium for trivial disagreements and pointless complaints.

I'm not blaming any one person or group of people here. There’s just a lot of cool shit to talk about right now and I’d rather not sit on the sideline of arguments about pointless stuff.

This is why Shotty Snipes should not be on Ghost Town:

We still won but the other team solely used shotguns. It's just too small of a map to be Shotty Snipes, they practically hid in the center building camping the entire time.

Shotty Snipes is more than fine on large maps like Avalanche or Standoff, but it doesn't work well with medium to small maps like Blackout or Ghost Town.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying Sniper playlist weekend. Thanks
 
I have pictures to post of a campaign run I did while XBL was down. Unfortunately, they still haven't been uploaded to my bungie.net profile. I guess I'll just have to put them in my file share to get them. Too bad I'm at work.

Haloscreenshots downloads its content from bungie.net's screenshots section - if the images aren't there, you can't see 'em on haloscreenshots. :(

The advantage of Haloscreenshots is that there's no limit to the number of shots (and that it's easier to page through a particular person's collection).

Finally, a voice of reason. I too don't know why I post here when Bungie.net forums are in a different league when it comes to intelligent discussion and maturity. I suppose it's because I have a lot of growing left as a person. People like you Fox, are too good for Halo GAF, and should instead never post here again and move exclusively to Bungie.net. Don't worry about those of us stuck here; we deserve this.

Rewind from a few months after Halo 3 launched, and run through the summer months.

Give it a break? I think many of you need to learn to read between the lines. You claim the Sniper fans are "whining and bitching" which I find extremely laughable. It's no damn different than what the BR Starts fans have done the entire past six months. It is annoying, which is where I agree with you.

If I don't say "hai guyz, there should be more BR starts", I get scorned. If I would, I'd be getting high fives and invites across the board. I don't really care anymore.

Surely, instead of posting about a playlist or playlists in general, we could talk post flight helmet gifs and follow up with laughing smilies and more photoshops.

While I know you're being sarcastic the truth is the Bungie.net forums are almost impossilbe to comb through at times. I used to post regularly on them and at times dicussion was good, but now its impossible to find any good discussion along with the constant thread spam of pointlessness. Atleast here on GAF you just can't create an account and post away to make threads instantly... >90% of the threads on Bungie.net Halo 3 forums are normally pointless and should be deleted, but its not my show to run so I rarely browse them anymore and if I do its normally the community forum where most of the actual 'real' people post.

This thread is full of entertainment though... its fun to see the arguments of what is better when it is nothing more than opinions that people are trying to state as 'fact'. Atleast here though the moderation is much tighter and if things get to far out of line the mods aren't afraid to fire their guns.

The combination of stiff moderation and the 6+ months it takes for an account to get approved has created an intrinsic value to your account on Gaf. I wish more forums would try this strategy, it makes for much better discussion.

The problem we are starting to have is that we are operating off the grid of moderation, as the mods have mostly left us alone now.. removing one key piece to the equation. Normally it doesnt create problems, but lately its becoming pretty obvious that our appetites are going unfulfilled.. and I think the thread is suffering because of it.
