Bingo, and consider it the main reason why myself and any sane player wouldn't want Recon. It's not worth the hassle.

If it has been stolen, I hope he swiftly recovers it.

I sent him an invite last night for some social slayer, but he didn't want to come into our party.

But I just thought of it as "Probably wants to stick to LW for the night, he doesn't want to play with us". :P
 
Wow, Ram has had, like, one kill in most of his recent games.

Of course, most hackers will remove everyone from the friends list, and then change the name, not immediately start playing a bunch of games in random playlists.

Yeah, it can't be him. It could be some else he's letting use his 360/account but I'm starting to really think it got hacked. I've notified him, I'll see if he knows what's up.

Dammit Merguson, these things are addictive.
 
So, since the update comes out tomorrow, most likely in the morning, you would think they would post up a special update later tonight on the exact time and what all of the update would fix. I vaguely remember them doing it last time but I could be wrong.

It might be just a little news story reminding everyone the update is live. If it's something more, it would look awkward following the SI top story, but we'll find out when that time comes.

Negative on saying the exact time, and they have already said what the update will be doing.
 
I think someone at Bungie was messing with the new playlist progression stats on B.net. I was looking at someone's service record and in the bottom right corner it listed that player's EXP in a couple of playlists. They all read 0 EXP. Now its back to saying This feature is offline or this player has not played in any playlists that support playlist progression.

I saw this as well. It looked like it showed the last four playlists that you've played with the number of EXP next to that. I tried to look at a Bungie employee's service record to see if it would show any type of EXP progress, but it was taken down before I could check.
 
I just had two pretty dismal games of Shotty Snipers, but then I discovered GameVee had got around to grabbing this little clip of mine, and suddenly I was reminded that I can shoot sometimes, at least when I don't bother with the scope. Team Snipers should replace Shotty Snipers across the board.
 
Cocop's write-up of The Covenant was awesome. I posted a comment on their blog but forgot to include my praise of it. His articles are always packed with details I never noticed on my own.

I think they reset the EXP for each playlist, but you still have your overall and your rank for each one. Not too sure on that though, it could just be because the update isn't out yet.

Even though the spawns are a little janky, it definitely is a good slayer map. I've come to expect when people are gonna spawn behind me so it makes it a lot more playable.

Me three. I despise playing Slayer on maps that were specifically designed for 1 sided objective games such as High Ground and Last Resort.

I will admit it now, the spawns is the one reason why I don't like it but in a way, it just feels unbalanced weapons wise when it is slayer, one team has snipes, rockets and invis can go either way, overshield, shotgun. Sure the base has laser and some maulers and br's, but it to me is a little unbalanced in that aspect. But mostly the main reason is the spawns which throw it off, I'll be sitting their sniping at lets say beach rocks, they can either spawn behind me, or at or below OS and pretty much mess up a killing spree, not because they managed to get to me, but because they spawn next to me and pick up an easy kill if I'm scoped in looking at someone else.

Ok so if you check your Halo 3 achievement list, instead of 250 added points now there are 750, with 30 new achievements. How come the Bungie stat page mentions the 1250? Can someone clarify?

The haven't given us any detail on those additional (outside of the first 250) achievements yet. Bungie stated that without proper context they couldn't tell us. Hopefully we will get more info soon.
