At this point, if Bungie reveal something like another map pack, there's going to be fans mobbing and calling for blood.

I hope, for Bungie's sake, they aren't taking the piss. This amount of teasing together with all the rumours floating around that they aren't commenting upon to confirm or deny is leading to some hefty expectations.

I'm looking forward to whatever they do in future, like everyone else, but for now, I'm cool with a few games of Halo 3 each evening.

Maybe.... maybe if we aren't dealing with a new game and just moar Halo 3 stuff, maybe its Bungie's answer to Left 4 Dead. 4 player co-op mode trying to put down a Flood infestation on some sort of space station/colony/prison etc.
 
I was telling Blood last night that I've always seen the SI as some friendly A.I. that interacted with humans on a daily basis. Like maybe something you would see in a city, hence all of his simple lines like recycling, keep it clean, remain calm, etc. I'm not sure how to explain it really, like maybe he's just a simple messenger A.I. to the people if anything goes wrong, such as Aliens invading your planet. :lol I could totally see this game being about some colony like Harvest and humans first encounters with the Covenant.

I always really liked the idea of the ODST game, though I'm not sure that is the way it's headed, I'd be happy. As I told Blood, I'd love to see Bungie completely redefine the 3rd person experience they way they did first person back with CE.

I don't throw my crazy ideas out there often, maybe for good reason, as I'm probably way off base. :lol

I hate other TPS's, they control and feel like shit. :\ For example, I'm playing the Mercs 2 Demo right now, terrible.

Really, I don't want another Gears either, I want it to stay a FPS.

I'd love to speculate but there isn't really that much to say at this point. Next week is AU2, playlist update, anniversary of Halo 3, and some presumed Bungie news. I have nothing of importance to say other than

Wow, that's an interesting take on all this.
Certainly possible.

Maybe you play alongside the SI ai as a squad trying to lock down the prison break, game begins from there and rolls into the covenant storyline.

i say no, friend says yes.

i say uncharted, HL2, crysis, rage (from stills and that it should run at 60).

A new game will be revealed. Halo: Superintendent Attorney at Law. The Superintendent, an AI chosen by the people of humanity to deal justice. In the futuristic courtroom, players will control the AI as he makes decisions to decide the fate of a billion covenant to let them go or to charge them with crimes to humanity. With some math included, the AI, who the player will control, will determine the damage by exploring the once proud human worlds. The real twist is that there is a prison break, and you the AI, must conduct tactic review and direct ground/air forces to stop the violation of the TOYKO rules.

Ok so that ODST pic is badass I'll give you that LOL. My only concern is that it seems with all the other squad based shooters I have played the person you play isn't even slightly memorable. I honestly can't remember one of the characters I have played in any squad based shooter. I want a badass hero in my games and I would be very surprised if bungie didn't have one in whatever is coming. Also Spartan > ODST :P.

Edit: Also note that I am sure an ODST game would be sweet lol
 
halo: the pelican chronicles

you play one (or all) of the pelican pilots that flys the chief to his mission and pics him up later. in between you could do some missions. think about it, could be pretty awesome.

drop the chief at the beach (the silent.., halo 1) then do some dogfights, pick the chief up...

Yeah, but the fact that we've had three Halo games with "heroes" is what makes an ODST game appealing. I'd like a game, I think, where there isn't a superhero-type character that is 100x stronger than any of his allies.
