About the attic in Pit. I can get up there with no help from team mates or grenades or anything like that. If I wanna stay up there and beat on people, then I should be able to do it.

I'm just making an argument BTW. I go up there sometimes only in Social to mess with people but I never do it in ranked games.

You make a strong argument.
For a retarded person.

I don't care if those rooms stay and I don't care if those rooms leave. I've hardly ever seen them used in a manner that seriously disrupts the game.

remember when you spawn outside of the attics

they should do that all the time

Excellent points. I find it difficult to combat this logic with anything of merit.

I always thought because of the room on Terminal in Halo 2 Bungie would have realized you cant have rooms that are inaccessible from the outside. Apparently they didn't. Even so Bungie should have used a temporary fix such as forging a crate in the windows so you can't get in. Later they could have made it aesthetically pleasing. Temporary fixes are better than nothing. After 1 year it almost seems pointless to fix. But hey they had better things to worry bout like adding H2H when everyone is demanding Team Snipers. :lol

Bungie's thought process is so awesome!

sorry dr urk

there are patently plenty of safe spawn points on the pit that aren't the attic, so why use them? alternatively, why not add boxes so the attic is easily accessible rather than hard/impossible to reach like with the terminal ledge?

it adds nothing and only serves to detract from the map

There really aren't that many places on The Pit that offer safety from the long vantage of the sniper rifle (or even the battle rifle). Those that do are typically sunken spaces or choke point areas that require instant movement into areas that are very visible. I don't think it's as simple as adding boxes to all gametypes, though I know firsthand why those spaces can be frustrating hideouts.

The upper room in Terminal wasn't nearly as bad as the attics in The Pit because camping there didn't give you as much of an advantage, except on Team Snipers.

Thats true, but if your team had the lead and got spawned up there. I see no reason to come down hah, and yes that happened to me several times in H2.

The Pit on the other hand, there's just no excuse for that attic not having crates as a temporary fix even if it looks shitty. (Gameplay > Graphics)

Also I love your avatar. :lol Cant wait for S4.

Well, the majority of games played on Terminal were either Assault or CTF (since that's what it's designed for), so getting the lead and staying up there would be a stupid decision in those cases.

Also, because Terminal was created specifically for Assault/CTF, I actually think the upper rooms helped the defenders in many situations (none of which detracted from gameplay), including last-ditch situations. Anyone who played a considerable amount of time of CTF on Terminal would agree that the upper spawning room made for some serious nail-biting last-second hail-mary clincher rounds. Spawning safely up there assured that the defending team would drop on the attackers making away from the flag, effectively preventing any spawn-camping that the attackers might try.

Also I love your avatar. :lol Cant wait for S4.
Thanks :D

I was thinking last night and I came to the conclusion that we need to restart the trend of making a thread for each Bungie Weekly Update. Whether or not the Updates are light, there IS information in there and people who don't frequent this thread should be able to know. There have been posts from not-so-regular posters claiming it's hard to find out about new information (if they don't actually read Bnet) about the achievements, rumored maps, etc.

So what do you guys think? :P

Sounds like a good idea. There isn't much love for Halo around GAF, but the updates that are more or less rich with information probably deserve a thread of their own.

Honestly, I'd wait until they get a bit meatier. They are still a bit lean and the GAF wolves will starve and rage.

It seems that way but new people pop up in this thread all the time. There are a lot of closet HaloGaffers. :lol

Is Halo GAF a democracy? Make whatever thread you want.

I hate having to keep track of different Halo threads. But that dosen't matter, because all discussions will eventually trickle back to the main-hive-mind of the OFFICIAL HALO 3 THREAD! Look what happened to the Multiplayer thread, Forge thread and screenshot thread. We should've "upgraded" the screenshot thread to include video's. Then all our Gamevee stuff could've went in there. But that would've been uncalled for since it was a screenshot thread and not a video thread. Maybe we should make a Halo 3 Video Thread? What does everyone think? Gamevee thread: for or against?

Against. Like you said, it would eventually trickle back into here.

Uhh, I don't understand why creating new threads is such a big deal. Waaah waaah conversation will trickle back into here. Honestly, who gives a fuck? If you want to make a new thread about Halo vids, do it. Everyone takes this shit so seriously. If conversations stayed about the same damn thing all the time, Socrates would still have no fucking clue what justice is.

Yeah, honestly. Just post everything Halo 3 related here. It is "THE OFFICIAL HALO 3 THREAD".

Umm what?... Gamevee videos and BWU are related to Halo 3. Take a chill pill, if you hadn't noticed this thread is over 1000 pages long, rife with tangents about Halo Wars, Halo Books, and possible Halo movies.

I was agreeing with you. Everything should go in here for maximum efficiency.
