start>control panel> change desktop background> choose "Center" instead of "Stretch"
In Vista anyway. The same option is in XP, but I don't know where.
I don't notice any black strips with that Wallpaper, I'm using one of the blue ones :)

Edit: are you on XP? if so, that's one cool thing about Vista I didn't know :P

I could try to edit in a complementary background, if you like... I'm not a pro though. Which wallpaper do you like best?

Yeah, already did that, too. I don't like the color on the top and bottom being different from the wallpaper. Seriously, no one has 1024x768 sized SI wallpapers? lol

No. I didn't. If I had, you would have the ones in the main directory, and then the ones in "New Folder" for your 1024x768. Download what Numbers uploaded as it's probably what you need.
 
Luke, if you ever happen to get matched up against me in NHL 09, I'm going to whoop your ass. Why is that you might ask? It's because I'm Canadian.
 
I played Multi-Team for the first time (note: it was probably not the first time, but it was the first time I recall) tonight with a friend and had a blast, even though it seems to be where generals go to laugh. Our team was first or second in every game, and we netted some pretty great last minute wins. Also an amazing tied VIP game 9-9 when the other two teams dropped and it was us versus a much higher ranked pair. They were leading 9-6 and we pulled it back in style. Only the door frame of Camp Froman meant they didn't lose outright to my laser shot a few seconds from the end.

I have killed shotgun man with plasma pistol before. Then shouted "pew pew space lasers". Jumped away giggling. Often to the height of 30 feet.
 
lol I think this might be the luckiest with weapons and power up I have been in halo 3. Just call us the comback kids :P

Edit: also has anyone noticed that on the map of people playing Halo around the world there are clearly no Xboxs in Utah/Nevada......a weird combo that the 2 extremes apparently don't play halo.

The only thing that confuses me is why Pit Stop is being added into MM alongside The Pit (Pit with attic spawns).

Like, seriously? Just make Pit Stop the default Pit for MM.

Having Epilogue and Boundless alongside Snowbound and Epitaph, I can understand, since the formers have significant changes to the flow of the map. But Pit Stop is just The Pit w/o the attic spawns, afaik.

I agree. I don't mind adding back in Snowbound with shield doors. It can be both. But for a map like The Pit, what is the point?

I've had players double jump onto their teammates head to get up their in Slayer and Snipers. I wish it could be blocked off via Forge or invisible walls, but sigh...

Team Snipers is popular in Double EXP and was very popular on Halo 2. I don't understand why it hasn't been named a ranked playlist yet.

Change up the maps the way the maps are varied for Head to Head and Team SWAT. Since H2H is going away, remove those wastes and create a map variant specifically for Snipers.

too much manpower being used on adding rocket race to multiteam
 
Wow :lol I was bored, created a second account (didn't even know you could do that for free until today), hopped into Lone Wolves and discovered a huge flaw with this game. I think that there's still a glitch with the melee/beatdown system.

I'm tearing up the map and decide to grab the hammer. I kill 4 people with it. All of a sudden, a guy susprises me and I have my AR out. I quickly switch to the hammer, pull the trigger and....wasn't quick enough. He kills me first and runs away. But guess what popped onto the screen:

Achievement Unlocked: Up Close And Personal

???? You mean to tell me that even though I DIDN'T KILL HIM, the game still believes that I did? Shouldn't that guy have, you know, died?

EDIT: I wish I stopped playing as soon as the glitch occured because Bungie.net would have recorded the match with 4 beat downs and an "Up Close And Personal" achievement (which wouldn't make any sense). But I continued to play and beat 2 more people down. You kinda have to take my word for it.

The match that I got upclose and personal on for my 2nd account had the same thing happen. The only reason I know that is the case is because at the end of the game medals I only had 4 beatdowns but I did get the achievement.
