Well fuck, if I'd known that we'd be prancing through the fields of Valhalla as we speak.Dax01 said:

Sounds like somebody we know...Dax01 said:Ummmmmm.
1. I don't remember playing with you.
2. I don't remember saying any of those things.
3. I don't recall me playing a game of juggernaut recently.
Edit: Yeah, are you just trying to fit in or something?
I never said any of those things he listed; he's lying. For what reason I do not know.Striker said:Sounds like somebody we know...
This is an ironic statement, but yeah, that guy's some random moron who comes in here from time to time and posts stupid shit. best to I-G-N-O-R-E.Dax01 said:Edit: Yeah, are you just trying to fit in or something?
Really? Really?armubaba said:AND, FUCK, I DON'T ALWAYS QUIT.

The teleports are the biggest miss-calculation. I really dislike the ability to face in different directions when entering / exiting teleports.
Numbers was the one who initially brought it up during tonight's game, and I was just wondering why that still continues to come up. But alas, let us change the topic.the disgruntled gamer said:I missed you, homie. Where you been? And what happened to Desmond-Marty?
You dropped out of a few H2 matches like a year ago. I'm not sure why you keep bringing it up. You're really beating a dead horse at this point.

the disgruntled gamer said:Well, I played several matches on Cold Storage (love the playlist btw, another addition to the list of things to thank Bungie for), and I really really like it. It's a really nice looking map, it offers some of the most intense cqc I've seen since H2, it makes me feel like I'm in control of my grenades again, and it didn't cost me a dime. I'm really happy with it. And it's certainly not half-assed either, the map has a lot of nice little touches, like the monitor closely following the action. Good show, Bungie.
Falagard said:If there weren't teleporters, wouldn't there be a bunch of dead ends? The whole map would have to change.

:lol Oh, I hope, hope, hope that Friday will come when I read that sentence. He's quit about 17.8% of his games.oddworld18 said:Oh... wow...

Seriously, though, 273 Dax? Do you have super flaky internet or do you just have no honor?
I'm quoting this because it's true, as they say. The comparison pics on b.net really hammer it home, but Bungie doesn't do stuff - even "ports" - half-assed. The visual look and fidelity are top notch. I was showing the map to my kid in Forge and she asked if I could fly up the crevice that runs way up high in one room (ridged, bright light coming down and frozen mist). And guess what - as a Monitor, you can fly all the way up there. And it's all detailed, every nook and cranny. Watching the frozen mist float down was mesmerizing.the disgruntled gamer said:Well, I played several matches on Cold Storage (love the playlist btw, another addition to the list of things to thank Bungie for), and I really really like it. Ah, The Ark. Good times. Just wait until the next mission.GDJustin said:I sniped some brutes, fucked up many Wraiths and Ghosts via a Scorpion tank, dismantled a scarab, gunned in a warthog for a while, owned some bitches with successive invisibility upgrades... good times.
After I clear the final three chapters on normal, any Halo vets interested in carrying me t hrough Legendary?![]()
I won't be useless... I'm a rank 35 in Rumble Pit. I just need someone that knows the maps to help out.

And yeah, I'm down for co-op any time. Legendary - especially with some skulls turn on - is amazing in co-op. I still play some co-op every week or so.
Now, I don't know what "at the time" is, but Halo 3 had 7 Forerunner maps, 3 Human maps, and 1 Covenant map. The two map packs were all human maps, except for Avalanche, which could be considered Forerunner. Now, that brings the tally to 8 Forerunner maps, 8 Human maps, and 1 Covenant map. So, let's say a while back Bungie's trying to figure out what setting they use for the map they're making, which would later be codenamed Purple Reign, and they choose to use this same logic: develop for a setting that we haven't been using heavily recently. What setting could they possibly use?Cold Storage Q&A said:Q: How was the setting for Cold Storage selected? Chill Out was Covenant, Cold Storage is Forerunner.
MM2: We knew we wanted to explore something new with Cold Storage, and fairly early on the decision was made to go with Forerunner because at the time there werent many Forerunner maps being developed.
I had hoped I wasn't the only one. It usually takes me a day or two to soldify in my head where everything is in a map, but it will take longer on CS with the teleporters bringing you here and there.GhaleonEB said:the teleporters confuse the heck out of me.

To be fair, my internet connection has been spotty lately. I'd say 10-15% of those are me dropping to one red bar and then dropping out of the game.the disgruntled gamer said:He's quit about 17.8% of his games.Dax, why? It's a 48-hour playlist. Read the Weekly Update for more details.fin said:So when does the 'Icy Treat' playlist go away?
Yeah, those are my reasons for dropping. I play almost exclusively on the BTB playlist, so the games are usually pretty log affairs. If we get stuck with a lousy gametype (Territories on Sandtrap, say) or I've got griefers on my team, it's a long, unpleasant slog before the end of the game. And I only get to play for an hour or two each day, tops, so I hate to be stuck in a game like that so long.brokenwatch said:If there is a quit threshold, and it seriously affects matchmaking I think I would quit playing Halo 3. You can't pay me enough to play Halo 3 with some of the douchebags online. I'm not going to stick around for an unbalanced game, or a ridiculous game type. In a team game what's the point of playing when your team is trying to betray you? Or if they aren't even playing (annoyingly common). There's also no pointing in playing games when they get laggy to a certain point. Also getting spawn killed is not enjoyable, and happens on a lot of game types, especially with AR starts.
Anyway, the point is there are a ton of reasons to quit from a game. I could care less about my EXP, but if its going to affect matchmaking that would be really annoying.
:lol I almost just did the same thing. 1.8% for me. I get dropped occasionally, and if I reach throw the controller level frustration, I'll just turn the box off. Mostly, though, if the rest of my team quits, I'll play to the end, and if the other team is filled with d-bags constantly using 'humiliation tactics,' I'll do as much camping as possible to make them play till time runs out.Louis Wu said:Hmm... is this you?
Cause 12 quits in 812 matchmaking games is 1.5%, not 0.015%.
(Still pretty good - but what you posted was insane. .015% is 3 quits in 20,000 games.)
I fucking told Blood that we shouldn't play anymore matches. I could feel it in my delicate elite bones. The Halo Gods were angry that I defied their wishes and proceeded to boot me.Ramirez said:I would like to thank Eazy for supplying one of the best moments in recent memory...he grabs the laser on Standoff, enemy hog approaches, he is aimlessly running towards the middle of the map, Nutter tells him to fire the Laser and he proceeds to disconnect and the hog rapes us. :lol
