Besides, I'm thinking they'd want to work on something new before going back to Halo.
Yeah, I mean I could definitely be wrong about WHEN they're going to announce this new game superintendent game. It might not be Bungie Day and it may very well be at PAX with a big blow out, who knows - but as far as the NEXT Halo game, I'm pretty sure it may not be seen till the next generation's Xbox launch or at the very earliest as the last big game in the Xbox 360's lifecycle.rance said:Eh, I think it'd be too late in the 360's lifespan to release the next Halo for it.

Yeah, like we were talking about earlier, it just depends on how much Bungie feels like they can show on B-Day without things starting to overshadow each other. And there's always E3. I don't remember Bungie talking much about E3 last year and they at least had that little video there, so I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that they'll at least have a presence there this year. What they'd show, though, I don't know... I think a small XBLA game would definitely get overshadowed if announced at E3. Maybe they'll just show off some of the new maps in a video.Mr Vociferous said:Yeah, I mean I could definitely be wrong about WHEN they're going to announce this new game superintendent game. And they have both Halo Wars and Halo Chronicles announced. Halo Wars is this year. They don't need another one announced to detract from Gears 2 this year. That rumor makes NO sense.Falagard said:I think that Microsoft, at least, wants to have a new Halo game every 2 years. That doesn't mean it will happen, but I'd be surprised if we didn't see a new Halo game (or a game in that universe with the same gameplay mechanics) by November 2010.
I don't believe we'll see the next Microsoft console before then, so my prediction is that the next Halo game is made for the 360.

Oh it's not that hard: shitty characters + shitty plot makes for shitty movies.Mr Vociferous said:Patrick Stewart image.
Based on their verbiage, I'd guess that they have other things cooking up, but I think those are the two key element. Since they've said nothing of E3, it seems pretty obvious to me that they'll make an announcement about superintendent on 7/7 and have a playable version of the game at PAX or something to that effect. Who knows, they could announce another project or something else big on Bungie Day - historically, Bungie has been known to make several announcements of varying sizes and natures in a single day, like the 11/2006 announcement of the Halo 3 commercial, the Halo 3 beta and the new maps for Halo 2. All were super huge announcements and all were very different from each other.
The universe is pretty interesting. The movies are garbage, though.XSX said:Says the guy who has star trek pictures on his facebook![]()

Her voice actor in Halo 2 was better. And her big scene would have been more impactful had she actually shot. Still well done, but I was hoping Bungie would be more daring with her end.Botolf said:This.
H3 Miranda said a few too many groan-worthy things and her voice sounds really odd (Kind of like she's constantly out of breath and barely getting the words out).
I think the same could be said for Truth. I had always thought of him as a cunning and ruthless politician, and the voice actor in H3 didn't give any feeling of that, imo.GhaleonEB said:Her voice actor in Halo 2 was better. Oh absolutely. From the voice perspective, the H2-to-H3 shift for Truth was cunning and brilliant politician with complex motives-to-boogieman.Botolf said:I think the same could be said for Truth. And a narrative perspective, also. We only ever see him as this distant phantom, ranting and raving. The perspective we had with him in Halo 2 is gone, and along with it, the nuance.the disgruntled gamer said:Oh absolutely. Yeah... really makes me think of how in-depth the H2 story was, with long cutscenes that explained the inner-workings to the covenant. This compared to H3 cutscenes that told us to go destroy AA guns.GhaleonEB said:And a narrative perspective, also. We only ever see him as this distant phantom, ranting and raving. And if you actually read Contact Harvest, it makes even more disappointing.GhaleonEB said:And a narrative perspective, also. We only ever see him as this distant phantom, ranting and raving. The perspective we had with him in Halo 2 is gone, and along with it, the nuance.
No, its the fuckers that veto with about 7 seconds left that are the real problem.Dax01 said:Those people who wait to veto at the last fucking second are really starting to annoy me.
I hate it too. It sucks having to scream "VETOOOO YOU [homophobic slur]S!!!" up to the last second before game.Dax01 said:Those people who wait to veto at the last fucking second are really starting to annoy me.
