Well, I'm third oldest in this thread thus far (33), but I'm very interested to see the saved films from these match ups.

Btw, Ramirez weren't you the guy that got the perfection medal in FFA months ago? On Guardian, no less?
 
Looks like I've been missing out on some trash talking lately - and isn't MaX_PL the kid that was crying that Halo 3 didn't have any any button glitches since that was how he got by in Halo 2?

I'd put Ramirez over this guy any day of the week, easily...

Oh, and I'm 25, just throwing that in there for no reason...

Frank, I might have mentioned before that I'd happily go 1v1 with you for Recon. And of course, Ascendant Justice is always open to a Humpday Challenge.

Yes, but unlike some people here - I admit I would lose. Also, a one-person victory lap around the center platform would be lame.
 
Max_PL what are you so scurrred of? Play the match and prove your l33t pwning skillz. Whats the worst that could happen, you loose and cry to yourself for the next few days as GAF repeatedly hazes you with hate posts? Wait....ermmmm.

i'm not gonna admit i'll lose because i know i wont, especially if i still play the game.

secondly, ive already said it. make a good map thats fair for a 1v1 and i'll play. i'm not gonna agree to some random map and gametype you choose just because you think its fair. lockout remake is nothing but a camp fest especially if you play 1v1.

i dont know when i said i can beat them anyday, but it was more than likely a joke. and i'm not rusty, i'm never rusty; i just havent played the game in like 3 months, theres a difference.:lol

If you're good, you'll be good on any gametype and any map. If you have to fall back on specific maps and specific rules to play, then you're a crap player. Simple as that.

Those are all very capable of holding a good 1 v 1 match. It sounds like you really suck at Halo or else you would just play.
 
Sorry Dopey. I played Ramirez only a couple days ago and was reminded of his mad skillz. And I associate Nutter with Ramirez for some unknown reason.
 
can i step up in max pl's stead? i mean, i don't know if i can replicate his unfounded trashtalking, but i will certainly challenge both ramirez and nutter to matches for can haz recon glory.

and at least someone will get recon before the day is over
 
I'll admit, I'm far from a great (some would even argue good) player, but I'm not sure I understand how Guardian is a camper map (especially compared to Lockout) for 1-on-1. Every way I can think of to camp in a 1-on-1 can be overcome with equipment, grenades, Bruteshot, Hammer, mauler, etc. If it's a concern that someone gets 1 point and can hide/keep away from the other player until the time limit is up, take away the time limit. Play to 15 or 25 kills.

Its ok - i've fallen off in the last few weeks anyway. Nutter, Ramirez and I played a lot of Halo 2 together. I don't play with ramirez so much anymore but I think nutter does

Guardian is unfair if powerups are involved imo

I take 'em out for certain game types. They work better with more players - less simple for one person to control them.
 
Power ups can outbalance a 1 on 1 if someone spawns near one or two at the start, but it's the same with weapons I guess.

Best thing for a fair match would be a custom game then.

Your backpedaling has been remarkable. First you come in talking smack that everyone else probably sucks (at least, compared to you). Since then we've had the following excuses:

1) You're out of practice.
2) There are no good 1v1 Halo 3 maps
3) Lots of dancing around without committing to anything

This is your chance to prove to everone that you are as good as you've been saying you are (for a looong time). You can name your terms. You've talked smack about your mad skillz for ages in here, and now that you have a formal challenge, and Bungie has sweetened the pot, you're backing out? It's hard to interpret all the dancing you've been doing as anything other than cowardace. You wrote a check you can't cash.

Btw, I'm going with maxpl on this, Guardian would be pretty shitty 1v1 if someone got to sniper first. It works for 2+ with multiple paths, but theres nothing you can really do against a sniper on the sniperpost.

Well, a few pages back he was insinuating he could take an entire team of GAF members by his lonesome in a snipers match, so I don't know what he's crying about now.

It's getting kind of old though. He always drops in to tell everyone how bad Halo is and how much better than everyone else he is, but now when he's got a clear challenge with a reward for winning from Bungie thrown in, he wants to make all kinds of excuses to get himself out of it.

See, I think he probably could. In a cat mouse game of snipers, the lone sniper has nearly every imaginable advantage against a team of 4. One target vs. four targets is pretty easy to find some success with. Assuming he's a good sniper to begin with.
