God dammit you guys wouldn't stop sending me invites to that fucking game :lol . You could look and see I was playing a 4-player Legendary game, and I sent a voice response to whoever sent me the first invite saying I couldn't now, then I get 6 more invites 2 minutes later.
 
I hated Shotty Snipers in the beta and I still hate it now. Please ban this filth from ranked playlists and shove it in the socials.

I feel bad because I really want to play with you guys, but no one is ever on, then when I'm caught up with something or in a full group you or urk send me an invite :(. I'm off until Monday, I'm hoping more people are on longer hours over the weekend so it's easier to meet up. I still have yet to play any of this pirate/rocket race stuff, mostly been doing campaign stuff with people.

Edit: Weird, I have the guide, and on it it says it's by Piggyback Interactive. Are they part of Prima or something (same people who did the Halo 2 guide IIRC)? Anyway it actually is a pretty darn good guide, but how much most people need a guide for Halo is pretty YMMV. It does have a nifty scoring section and tips for scoring on each level, as well as recommended/not recommended skulls for each level. It specifically only covers the gold skulls IIRC though, and no locations. It says something about Bungie wanted them kept secret, so they asked for them to leave out locations, as well as even the names of the silver skulls.

Definately.

Rocket Race was awesome when we got lots of people in. And the rest of the games were fun, too. CTF on Last Resort was like an entirely different level.

I'm going to grab some screens in a bit.

Sandtrap = good times. I was laughing the entire time when we couldn't figure out which Elephant belonged to which team. :lol

On a side note - I'm upgrading to Bungie Pro as soon as I can. What they provide out of the box just isn't enough space for me. 750 points for a year, correct?

i just used the hornet the whole time. from the back you can actually hit the power generator

and shotty snipers is waaaaaaay to frequent

We started spawning on each other's elephants half way through. I really liked that variant but it needed some tweaking.
 
Ok I just tweaked construct a bit on a map I'm calling ReConstruction.
You can download it on my file share at this link.
I replaced all the plasma grenades with spike grenades as the level geometry is setup perfectly for spike grenades. And moved the sniper to the bottom, moved the maulers to the bottom of the pink elevators, replaced sword with overshield, and put a grav hammer at back of yellow elevator to try and change up choke points. A rockect launcher now sits where snipe use to be, and spartan lazer is now a full fledged shotgun. Missle pod is a needler as no one seemed to pick up the pod on this map.

Let me know what you think.
 
Finally got around to playing some online matches. My initial impression is that it isn't much different than the Beta.

I did run into something I think needs to be fixed ASAP - the Brute Mauler and Melee combo is almost instantaneous. I already ran into a guy whoring it out. They need to add a bit of a delay to it like with the shotgun.

On the last level, where you turn left to reach the final terminal, instead turn right and either grenade jump (requires two plasma grenades) or have a friend go grab the gravity hammer from later in the level and go back and have him whack you to the spot. It will probably take a few tries.

I put it up on my fileshare, just mark it and download it to your box and watch if it I guess.

Yeah, it's annoying. Because it's so short range though, I just stop AR jousting with people I know that are whoring it out. Backpedaling and firing at them will drop them before they can get to you, even in some of those tight corridors.

Did you beat it on Legendary? If you haven't then I'm sure that's the problem :D
 
Is there a transcription of all the terminals anywhere? Someone said earlier they say different things on different difficulties, not sure if that's true or not.

Downloaded this, but I have a question. Is there any way to play this online with random people? I can only see the game in Custom Game and apparently that's just for friends or something? Don't quite get it...
