I think they were more delirious than anything. They were the first guys at Best Buyin NYC to get the game. They had been there for more than 24 hours. I think they got there sometime on Sunday afternoon. There were about 40 cameras and videocameras taking footage of them.

OK I got a question for those who have the Legendary version: are you happy with it, I mean... Did you feel like you got your money's worth? I'm considering upgrading my order to Legendary, but I'm still doubting. Is the extra stuff you get enough to seperate it from the Collector's?

I'll tell you right now, the Helmet is actually CRAZY IMPRESSIVE.

Also, if you're one of those rare people who can live comfortably knowing that there's Bungie Commentary out there on cutscenes and you can't listen to it, or are happy to watch on (pfft) YouTube in a few weeks (pfft!), then fair enough.

I think it's a great package and the Helmet alone is an INCREDIBLE piece of memorabilia.

From now on, every game needs a replay/theater/fileshare mode. Forge is cool and all but Theater is rad. It's passive relaxation compared to focused hands-on stuff and it's pretty cool just 'checking stuff out' inbetween the game sessions.

Gamestop did it the best... had everyone show up between 9 and midnight to pay it off in full, then at midnight you just show your receipt and ID and got the game right away. I was probably ~200th in a line of ~300 and still only had to wait ~half an hour total and was home by 12:30. LOL at the people who waited 24 hours.

man is this game good. Encounters are so immaculately designed and the AI is damn fine.

Love the new flood forms, the one that morphs between different forms, can walk on walls and take up position is tough. I also love the weak point, very much improved from Halo 2, and it makes fighting Flood an absolute blast.

I haven't had the same complaints about the friendly AI as others, while they do the occiasionally stupid thing, I've found solid tactics. In the first Ark level the ODST's hold back, and keep a solid field of fire to supress the enemies while I flank. Similarly the arbiter takes the aggro so I can flank. It works marvelously. While fighting hunters, luring them to my marines fire so I could plink the weak point was critical. They are shitty drivers though

This is a game that succeeds on so many levels so far, AI, level design, and the encounter design is perfection.

Enemy AI is really remarkable. Brutes use equipment perfectly, assault from different angles, and have remarkable flanking behavior. Also, they know when to retreat, which makes the battles feel more epic. Going along, picking off brute guards, and them hemming the pack in with nades and withering turret fire is immensly satisfying.

I was suprised my EB had gotten SIXTY copies (300 or so overall preorders). I figured it'd be like twenty or something. So, that's $7800 in Legendaries from JUST ONE STORE.

I picked my LE up at walmart last night. I opened it in the store and sure enough, the disc was loose and scratched. I exchanged it right there and the next one I got was perfect.
Also, my 360 is literally on it's deathbed. I had to do the towel trick last night, and am intermittently getting the RROD. Here's hoping I can finish the fight.

I saw someone buying a Test Drive Unlimited strategy guide and literally the moment they stepped outside, a piano fell on their head. And, dude, this thing was falling SLOWLY. Everyone, EVERYONE, was like "DUDE! FUCKING PIANO! LOOK UP, YOU CLOD!" and he's just, what's the word, clucking his tongue? You know when you make that clicking sound in your mouth? He's doing that, and walking with his elbows jutting out, real cariacature-like.

And he was just doomed, you know? Nothing we could do.
