Old rumor is old. A developer from Gearbox moved to 343 Industries, that's probably where the rumor spawned from. 343 will be handling the next Halo title (after Reach). This news is super old and the project is dead. This "omfg everyone will die when they see this" project was a Duke Nukem Prequel, but it got cancelled.

Oh come on now guys, Halo and COD are two very different shooters. There is plenty of room for both and both are very good, but just provide a very different experience. Let's not go down to that level. FPS love need not be mutually exclusive.

Well my copy of Halo 3 has officially gone ka-put. Looks like I'll just wait for ODST for Halo 3 action. It went out on me before, but I fixed it by installing a good copy to the hard-drive. Now my disc must not even be recognized by the 360 because it's not working at all. Good thing ODST has all the multiplayer. I'm a bit sad though because my disc was from the Legendary Edition. =\

More on topic, I played a few games tonight with my old man. (Long story short, he watched me play Halo 2 back in the day and showed enough interest to warrant me purchasing him an Xbox and Live subscription. Didn't know at the time I was going to have to buy a second 360 later on for H3 so that we could play together while I was off at college...)
He always tells me that I should be more of a 'leisure player' instead of so competitive all the time. He's right.

I've never recieved any hate mail over XBL. I'm thinking this a good thing, but then again, maybe I'm not making a big enough splash, talking enough trash for someone to want to waste those few minutes writing to me. That and probably the fact that I don't have recon.

I'm not sure how I feel about the concept of recon. I've had my fare share of messages and friend requests just for playing with people that have it. I really don't mind deleting the messages and get a kick out of reading many of them. The real joy comes from messing with these people. If it weren't for the hacking I'd undoubtedly say I've enjoyed people's infatuation with the armor. MS's security is a fucking joke though which is the thing that makes it questionable. It's been two years though, so I think it's good time to make recon rain.Striker said:
