There's some tradeoffs, namely the larger space between the blocks cause by placing them plain side down. But I think it will be worth it.

I keep messing around with Monkey Cage even though I know I said that I was finished with it. After reading all the rules and suggestions for submitting a map to Atlas, I realized that i probably need to put a lot more effort into a map. So today I spent a good chunk of time "beautifying" Monkey Cage (making sure boxes were more flush with eachother and that pieces were positioned as best I could make them). Downloaded Octagon and it's a very clean-cut map with no out of place pieces, which gives it a very shiny look. I took some cues from that map and added a lot more respawn points to my map, and made sure they were positioned a little better than I had them before.
Still haven't fixed anything on Goldmine, so I apologize to the people who have downloaded it. It had some recent downloads and I figured someone took a look at it. I need to redo all the spawn points, plus add some more. I will do that eventually, but right now I've become obsessed with Monkey Cage. I'm trying to figure out the best weapons for the map and the best placement for those weapons.
If anyone is online hit me up for some games (customs or matchmaking).

Just a quick map update! It now has a name: Hybrid; due to the fact that if you squint your eyes and tilt your head a little it looks like an odd, shrunk combination of Rat's Nest and Avalanche.
The bases got a new tunnel leading to a corridor under the main wall.
Now the center room has some cover, and an entrance into the main wall in-between the colored columns . Its walls are also a bit higher so I could put a roof on it
And this is what the center corridor underneath the wall looks like. Not really the best picture to show it off...
About the only things left to do on it are to put a top on the center area, lengthen the wall so people can't spam grenades across it, put some cover for people on the outside vehicle track, and add weapons and spawns. Feels like I'm almost done, really.

Compare the whole mess with Sony, their shit broke, one phone call later and they arranged a guy to come to my door the next working day and exchange my broken PS3 with a new one. I could not believe it. The difference in how each company treats their customers in the exact situation is quite staggering. Never mind I had to wrestle with MS for months to accept it was their responsibility to repair the machine on their expense, being a classic RROD.
BTW, what kind of wait time should I be expecting if the damm thing gets picked up today? 3 Weeks?
And yeah, I'm gonna keep the box when it gets back for when, not if, I need it.
