I played it twice (once on one of the big screens - and came in first

You are not seeing the best part of the skybox. Looking straight up, you see what the gameplay structure is attached to. It is FUCKING EPIC.
Best. Skybox.
Ever. No questions asked. Bungie went all-out on this one.
It play really, REALLY well and it much larger and more intricate than you think. Lots of great jumps and nooks. I saw a lot of cat and mouse gameplay in the spaces between the main platforms, where these cylinders are. You can see one in the background of the shot with the guy jumping while holding the oddball. I don't really like small maps. I LOVE this map. It plays so good.
Some news and notes:
--There are some areas where Hunter worms are moving through huge pipes. Looks really interesting.
--Did I mention the epic skybox?
--It was playing off a stand-alone disc. At the title screen, you could select Matchmaking, Custom Games, Forge and Theater - no Campaign.
--The title displayed was:
Halo 3 Mythic. The map list had all of the shipping maps and DLC, plus Assembly. I'm guesing it will ship with every single Halo 3 map, including the next (Mythic?) map pack, and contain everything but campaign - fully playable online as a stand-alone MP-only game. Speculating off the title screen and GUI, but that's the consensus among the pack of GAFers that saw it.
