I want your doubles partner ;)

Are you Rtas 'Vadum?

I'll tell you like I told him.

Practically speaking, it's probably memory related - as Ghaleon has stated. Fictionally speaking, well, the installations are about 100,067 years old - that there are not more stains and spots covering the corridors and chambers of these facilities is a testament to the automated maintenance systems they utilize.

Recently picked this game back up, and have been pushing my way up the doubles rankings with a pal. Sitting at a nice 25, which may be the limit of my skill. :lol

My theory is that it's a memory issue. The stains make sense once the Flood show up in those areas - as they do - but the game could only stream in one iteration of the floor textures.
That is the most unimaginative... That's just insulting.

I think you're just jealous that you didn't take the effort to come up with some whacko, crackpot theory as to why these stains are here. I refuse to believe it is memory related.

You obviously don't know who you're fucking with. Dax posts when he wants to, where he wants to, and as frequently as he wants to.

Damn fucking straight.

Been away from the internet all weekend (happy be-lated Canada Day everyone!!).

People in the Podtacular Tournament should start getting together soon, we need to hone our skills.

I am playing Halo 2's campaign again just for the sake of having the save on my hard drive and something is bothering me. I thought the Pillar of Autumn's class of ship was decommissioned some time ago?

It was, but it would appear a lead brick of a spaceship has its advantages.

I just wanted to say how much I love this game. I blazed through the campaign like everyone (almost a friggin year ago???) and then the game got relegated to gaming party status.

But like the last month or two, my brother has forced me to pick it back up again and hot damn it's really, really enjoyable. I have always loved co-op type games and ranked doubles is easily the finest experiences I've ever had.

The one, singular complaint I have is that the matchmaking system should ask you to pick between two maps/gametypes instead of just giving you one and asking if it's okay.

I'm trying to be practical. Bungie puts a crazy amount of detail into their game (I only recently discovered that you can go into the water in Sierra 117 and shoot the fish. They float for a little while, then slowly sink to the bottom.) When I noticed the Flood stains, I assumed it was a memory issue. But it could be more, and the fictional implications are pretty cool if so.

Better?

YES YES YES!

My thoughts exactly. Not sure how they'd implement this in an update, but this would be an excellent addition. They could even just show you want you're vetoing to get.

That's a great suggestion. So many times people get vetowned by nixing a passable gametype for one nobody likes.

I have a feeling it's probably impossible for them to change it now. Too bad though, that is tons better than the current setup.

Yeah, I can't count the amount of times I've vetoed something like territories and have gotten covies.

;)

I played a Social Covies game last night, so awesome.

> Ghosts for splatterin' (Got two double kills over the course of the game just by ramming people)
> Rocket Launcher for blowing dudez up in Wraiths and other Ghosts

:D

Sometimes you get stuck with two poopy gametypes anyway

Team Rockets (vetoed) -> VIP (aww butt)

Doesn't feel like you have much choice.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I had Territories get vetoed on Last Resort. We got Territories on Sandtrap next. Bitchin' and moanin', moanin' and bitchin'.

Like selecting a play in Madden. Four options to choose from in the "playbook." In the event of a tie, whichever type saw its final tally first is selected.

Would be nice for matchmaking metrics as well. Bungie would not only get data on which gametypes were favorites and which were ignored, but also which were runner up selections.

You can already guess what the top 3 would be by playing some Halo 3, though.

1. Team Slayer and its BR counterparts
2. Flag games
3. Bomb games

Then everything else.

At least, that's what it seems like whenever dudes do not veto.

Eh, they could still break it up into hoppers. Slayer, Objective, FFA, etc., but within those, you could have more control (or at least more transparency) in the process.

The veto system is an improvement over the previous method, and probably not something we'll see altered within the context of Halo 3, but there's always the Pathways re-imagining!

After yesterday's clutch feedback on the Gravity Hammer, I went home and did some concept and prototype for the Minotaur melee game I'm building for the Virtual Boy. It's going to be a niche title, but I feel pretty good about it.

You swing them and everything dies. Totally unbalanced.

my irritation started in griffball, but now with the abundance of hammers for some reason in Multi team i am getting fucking frustrated. It seems absolutely random as to who wins and who doesnt

(and why doesn't anyone ever veto hammers?)

HOLY FUCKING GOD WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW THE FUCK HAMMERS WORKS

This is pretty much how you do it: Pick up the hammer. Press Right Trigger. Exit Mutiplayer game. Exit Halo 3. Turn of X360. Go Outside. Learn about happiness. Lose weight. Get a well paying job. Getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries. A patient better driver. Meet that special someone. Move on from video games. Have kids. An empowered and informed member of society. Introduce them to Halo 27: Isotonic Mustach. Let the cycle repeat.

Hahaha, that reminds me of the guy that drove me straight off the cliff in Rat's Nest. Or the guy last night that ran around whacking everyone with the Hammer on Sandtrap, sending our Ghosts sailing around.

No wait, that's not funny at all. It sucked.

:\
