Yeah, I probably overreacted. Sorry. But as somebody with a science background, I find it irritating to no end how much fringe topics and hypothesises get 99% of the science coverage on the internet. It's insane how much wildly disproportionate the coverage is to the odds if something actually being correct. It is how pseudo-scientific crap spreads.

I'm from a science background as well and I try my best to keep an open mind instead of dismissing things out of hand because it doesn't conform to my understanding.

Regarding the coverage of science on the net; perhaps you need to make an effort and visit different sites if all you seem to be experiencing are fringe materials.

Man, that other thread about Tabby's star was way more fun instead of grumpy pants over here.
