StarFox looks insane

Played through the Star Fox demo, even though I've already pre-ordered the full game. Game looks and plays great, can't wait for the full release.

You do know most of us have both PS5 and Switch 2? heck they are people who own PC and Switch 2.

WTF is with this stupid generalization?
PS5, PC and Switch 2 owner here… Sold my Series X a few months ago… Some people here believe that saying that a Switch 2 game looks insane = Your PC or PS5 looks like trash.

I do love nintendo games, but I hate the people overpraising them. It looks good, but not "insane" and their direct was shit by the way. That's the reality of it.

You are not a parent and nintendo is not a 4yo presenting a drawing that you have to praise.

Tried it earlier thanks to a friend, good stuff, always appreciate a demo to try before release.

I hope this does well, it might give Nintendo more confidence to invest in the series and also revisit some dormant IP.

That's our opinion and taste and you are more than free to disagree.

Also for me Direct was amazing especially for someone like me who is fan of Xenoblade, FE and Vanillaware games.

I'm sorry, but when it comes to space opera, you just can't beat CW. It still looks incredibly cool to this day, and that soundtrack is absolutely insane.

Perfect timestamp:

I haven't played the Colony Wars games since the PSX era but I did enjoy them. I remember there being a lot of world building lore you could dig into outside of missions in the first one, centering around the negative effects of effective immortality in humanity w/ overpopulation and a dictator who doesn't die of old age?

For not much of a pedigree, the developers does seem to have done a great job. Nintendo should make them the new BluePoint and give them remakes.

What's next? Star Fox Adventures?

Each game in the trilogy brought something new to the table, but especially the third one, which featured real ship customization and a much more defined protagonist.

The first game did indeed have great lore, and the branching paths gave it a lot of replay value.

That said, I think Vengeance remains my favorite. The atmosphere, the tone, everything was perfectly executed.

As for the license, I'm not even sure who owns it these days, but the fact that we've gotten zero remasters, zero re-releases, absolutely nothing, is just sad for what remains one of the most extraordinary space operas in gaming.

Already played the demo half a dozen times. Kids love it too.
I never played a StarFox game, but it reminds me a lot of Wing Commander which I use to love. The last space game I played was Everspace 2 but never really got in to it with the convoluted looter/shooter elements.

Also nice it's available in my native language (Dutch) and they really did a good job with the voice acting.

Starfox looks good for a portable system. The artwork is spot on for an upgrade and feels like the same game with some new flair. I'm not usually one for remakes or remasters but this seems like a winner.

I have a 5070 Ti and been running everything path tracing on PC when possible since ampere days and I can still find Star Fox graphics beautiful.

Peoples really love extremes and generalization.

I liked the artstyle and graphics, but the gameplay wasnt that exciting. The controls are what mostly put me off. How is trigger nog the shoot button?? And no way to change it.

Never been a Star Fox guy growing up but I will download the demo and give this one a try
Demo was fun and I'm sold. Can be another switch off your brain game

Yeah it was annoying but you can remap your buttons if you want. I do that all the time

You played and didn't liked it?

A is the primary button for shooting in this series since ever, but you can change in the console itself if you don't want the traditional way

I got a dull impression before playing, but after I changed my mind. Plays really good. The character design grew on me too. Still, things feel "too soft" in comparison with the original, with the explosions, crashes and even the voice acting. It's a better remake than SH2, but way behind REmake

I tried the demo out last night and it's pretty good. Graphics look great in my opinion, but the real highlight for me and my daughter are the mouse controls, it's such a cool way to play!
