Did you ever think Sony was your friend? We have not seen the Sony of the good ole days this decade. RIP the peoples champ Sony and welcome Greedy anti consumer Sony.I mean, with this whole negative response to their recent announcements with digital-only future, well, is that it?
Are we at the point where, just like when someone mentions an Xbox, and / or anything, or anyone related to it, there will be reactions with countless laughing emojis?
I too think the core fans will stick around. It's too big of a step to pull out now. This isn't just about digital though. Gaas and pisspoor first party output have been common complaints about Sony all generation long. They way they went about cutting off physical disc for PS5 was just the final straw for a lot of us.
But we are going to point out "dramatic cunts" then let's start with the over the corporation defense being put on display. Fucking cringe man
This is also disingenuous.Hmmm... you see, statements like these are disingenuous. Why?
Because it makes no mention of the fact that the super expensive $135 (PS+E) you pay every year isn't just for online gaming. If you had to tell the truth and also mention that you get 150 games each year too, you probably wouldn't be saying that.
But yh, let's just pretend that all you get for that subscription is to play online.
Where I live is the complete opposite (Brazil), I frequently find Sony physical games for a LOT less than their digital counterparts (which are always expensive and rarely get discounts that makes them cheaper than physical copies).
Call it a rental or whatever but just like with gamepass albeit to a lesser extent the online services have saved me 100s if not 1000s a year with all the free games they throw at me its comical to me when people bring it up as a negativeThis is also disingenuous.
You should mention those 150 games come with a caveat and that is that you need to keep the subscription alive to access them.
Nobody brought it up as a negative. Was just pointing out that it wasn't fully factual.Call it a rental or whatever but just like with gamepass albeit to a lesser extent the online services have saved me 100s if not 1000s a year with all the free games they throw at me its comical to me when people bring it up as a negative

Yeah if there is a choice there is a right way to go digital and it is PC. Consoles don't have exclusives any more and everything is multiplatform. Plus emulation. Seriously. What is the point of a console anymore?Yes. Now protest the end of physical games by switching to an all digital platform on pc.
The PS brand has been living off the 2013 Xbox online DRM debacle since then.
Funny thing is MS reversed it so it never even happened. Yet gamer sentiment still lingers to this day as random people will still bring it up once in a while.
Well look at that, Sony is the same boat. But they stretched out the good PR they got above. But now it's time to dip their toes into heavy anti-consumer tactics since they believe Xbox is done. And Nintendo is their own universe. So now is the right time to strike thinking it's still a slam dunk over Xbox. So gamers will just give in as a gimme.
This time Sony did a triple crown of anti-consumer digital schemes in the same week...... deleted movies off people's accounts, shut down PS3/Vita stores, and no more game discs in 2028.
I want to see how ballsy gamers are who hated Xbox 2013 to do the same with PS. Espeecially if they plan to go through with it. At least MS reversed it by launch. So even if Sony reverses it and adds discs and disc drives again, the intent was still there. And publicly stated too 18 months away from it happening.
Power corrupt. That's what happens when you put Sony without competition and a western focused leadership. The PS brand has been living off the 2013 Xbox online DRM debacle since then.

You think you're being clever with (digital is digital) argument but you're missing the point. On Steam a refund is a button. On PS store the second you hit download your money is gone. PC lets you shop around across different stores for the best price and code sites. Sony forces you into a single monopoly. Sony lacks basic standard consumer features dude.Yes. Now protest the end of physical games by switching to an all digital platform on pc.
Keeping the industry you love alive...unless you just want a bunch of indiesYeah if there is a choice there is a right way to go digital and it is PC. Consoles don't have exclusives any more and everything is multiplatform. Plus emulation. Seriously. What is the point of a console anymore?
15% of games are bought physically but that doesnt mean its 15% of playerbase, its well above that, and no, physical only buyers didnt preorder gta6 didgitally, hell most of digital only buyers didnt either.about 80% of people who complained about the dickless future of PlayStation, just bought a dickless GTA VI on PS5 so.. I dunno..
The issue here was never physical vs. digital vs. streaming.. that's just a red herring designed to blur folk from the true war that's going on. DR-fucking-M, and the sheer lack of digital consumer rights in our space.
That is what must be contested at all costs. Stop Killing Games is the first real push here, but we need many others.
Honestly, I don't understand how gamers as a community haven't all bandied together to take these corporates down.
I don't even think it'd be that hard. You only really need to get the EU to put laws in place. The rest will follow.
I dont think i am gonna get a ps6. They'd have to really blow me away. And I have had every PlayStation. And then there is the price as well.No.
They know you'll get over it, quit being dramatic and buy it anyway.
Once again, everyone clutching pearls right now will be buying a PS6.
Sony is not buying the dramatics.
