Another mind boggling example: They have this thing called "Perfect for PS5" where the TV supposedly communicates with the console and sets the HDR calibration screens automatically, but its been broken from its inception in 2021 right up to the current 2026 models.

It sets the values completely wrong and ruins HDR in any game that uses the system level calibration. Amazing work

If anyone has a Bravia XR TV just set first two screens values according to the instructions yourself to fix it. Set 3rd screen to minimum/all the way left.

This is why vinyl matters, you can't achieve the same thing with physical games. The version I download off PSN looks, plays, and sounds exactly the same as the physical copy.

We don't even get fucking manuals anymore! I'm so pissed people are even attempting to save the bastardize version of physical games we have now.

Vinyl came back because even a generation as dumb as Gen-Z can appreciate having things like linear notes, custom artwork, and the entire ritual of listening to an album from beginning to end in a single session.

Vinyl sounds weird on headphones though, on loudspeakers it's fine, so that ad gave me a chuckle.

Also probably for $350 any old Dual or Thorens would probably be a better buy but would need an additional preamp or integrated amplifier.
