Agreed, it will come down, but just not to the 'Pro' price point (yet), I'm guessing £199.

I upgraded to 250GB and I'm only @ 55GB currently (9 months of us after upgrade).

With the prices of HDD's at the moment, unless you're strapped for cash, go for a 320, possibly a 500. You might as well do the job properly.

As long as you're only changing HDD's you can back up on the old one and restore on the new one seamlessly. It'll even save your download queue.

you know since they are rising the price of Arcade in UK, i would think it is safe to say that Elite price is going to stay the same, and that will be your "price drop" in the UK... get it?

Yeah, I'm still a little irked that Sony made a big deal about playing PS2 games on your PS3, then dropped the compatibility like a hot potato to save, like, $25 or something per console made.

Think about how much that 25 dollars is when you're talking about millions of consoles.

Yeah I have a 80gb too for PS2 BC also, but man is that thing LOUD AS FUCK in comparision to my Grey PS3 =/

120GB will be a breath of fresh air for me. Granted I still have about 20GB left on my Launch 60GB but there's times when I've been under 10 and have deleted a fair bit off. Having 120 gives me no worries for probably the rest of this gen.

I don't think it's bothering Nintendo to put GameCube compatibility, controller ports, and memory card slots in every Wii. I can pay extra to play PS2 games on a PS3.

OTOH, maybe Sony's working on software BC... then again, that didn't work too well for MS...

UK pounds is a bit tougher to say since everyone's shifting around their uk pricing a lot with the currency fluctuations.

Considering how the PS3 Slim and the PSP Go are/were the worst kept secrets in gaming, perhaps Sony took the "can't keep a secret to save their lives" torch from MS and ran with it... :lol

If the slim is revealed i will be surprised that Sony themselves have been able to keep it "secret" or at least not 100% confirmed till a few hours beforehand.

Why are you comparing the Wii to the PS3? That has nothing to do with what we're talking about. The two situations are not even remotely close.

I thought so, pounds was basically what I was wondering about, sorry to the guys in UK, probably will get screwed..

Conference is in only a few hours, wonder if we will be seeing leaked pics, or if the people trying to leak info this year just don't give a fuck anymore (slim is common knowledge now).
