who said something about waiting? You don't know what day and date means? Where you plan to play Back 4 blood? Lol

And Thread is about this year. Now you clearly trying to change the subject lol.Upcoming lineup for this year is stronger for seriesX.
I think you've missed the point. I don't need anybody to subsidise me like you apparently do lol.

Yes the thread is about this year, and in the first half of it Microsoft have offered virtually nothing. Or are you going to play dumb about this. People getting excited about Flight Sim (lol) which has been out for months on PC. And yet more Forza and Halo.

for my taste they are pretty like for like.

mainly because im mostly interested in the heavy hitters (halo, horizon, forza, R&C)
for the mid tier games im most keen to see are scorn and kena.

the only one who loses is my backlog ... still haven't really played cyberpunk and not finished TLOU2

Real world is too hard for you and is only going to get worse.
You know you're in an internet bubble when said bubble unironically thinks it represents the real world.

While I think Sony has the better lineup for me personally, if Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite deliver 9/10+ goods they will dominate the later part of this year. It honestly depends on how good those games end up being.

If u can count Death Stranding PS5 edition(delivery sim) as new exclusive then why not Flight sim? Xbox players getting it now and not everyone can afford pc to play Flight simulator. Its 90 meta and sold million already last year. So you can't blame people excited for it.

And if you can get excited for more god of war then why can't Xbox fans get excited for Halo which is releasing after long time. Its not like its a yearly franchise. How about let game come out first before shit talking about it?Forza Horizon 5 looks quality again and it will deliver.

You only count AAA games as exclusive worth paying attention. I play indies as well. Im excited for 12mins, Ascent and Kena more than Horizon FW and Forza Horizon 5 tbh.

By investing billions into your own internal studios and having over 25 new exclusives in development.

Playstation will be more than fine
PlayStation will not be fine because PlayStation will not be getting the next elder scrolls and we all know how popular elder scrolls is, also PlayStation won't be getting the next main line installment of fallout. PlayStation will not be fine.

Lol, now the narrative is "muh quality".

Xbox wins by a mile. Death Stranding and FF7R were both on the ps4. That leaves Ratchet and Horizon with Kena being a nice bonus (if it turns out to be a good game which I think it will). Horizon looks great but it also looks extremely similar to ZD with very minor changes.

With Xbox you get Halo, FH5, Flight Sim, Shredders, CrossfireX plus some solid looking extras like The Ascent.

The Xbox now has exclusives. As the owner of a Series X and PS5, I can confidently say the Series X is the better console in every way....this year. We'll see about next year.

Edit: Also, I would consider the new Sea of Thieves A Pirate's Life as an exclusive this year too.

Exciting hot take you have here.

A few things though:
1) TES 6 at this rate might not even make it to this generation. It'll be 2025 at the earliest.
2) They're not going to release Fallout 5 before TES 6. So that's even further off maybe even close to 2030.

LOL those are only 2 games and we have to see if they'll be good. PS5 will have it's own system sellers, I'd say they already do

Not getting involved in any war here, but Bathesda really need to expand now that they have Microsoft’s backing.

They need to be able to develop Fallout and TES games in tandem. 2 quality teams are needed.

You can’t be waiting for over 10 years for the next instalment in each franchise.

I never said anything about Death Stranding, not sure why you're going on about that.

You can get as excited about Halo as much as you want - hell I might even get it if it's any good. I guess the caveat is that the series is on a downward trajectory, as evidenced by its declining popularity and sales, whereas God of 2018 was widely recognised as the best in the series and won multiple awards.

The bottom line is that the Series consoles have had a very poor first 8 months, and many of their most-hyped games are a way off. Sony meanwhile has brought out Miles Morales, Demon Souls, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank so they have unquestionably had the much stronger start, and also have Forsaken and Horizon due soon. And then we can expect aforementioned God of War and Gran Turismo a few months after that.

How mang has

GT

God if war

rachet and clank

had befor the next game came out?
GT has had a 9 year hiatus since the last numbered entry.

Ratchet and Clank had an 8 year hiatus except for remaking the original

God of War had a 5 year hiatus but really ten years since the continuation of the story, with Ascension being more of a half baked side story and multiplayer experiment that not many played

When those games stopped for awhile there was definite franchise fatigue but putting them on pause for awhile let people come back with fresh expectations.

These games that get a lot of sequels, its good for them to have a rest and maybe come back with some fresh ideas. Halo seems to have done that so we will see if it pays off

Alternatively I think that racers dont really need a break if its working so I have no issue with Forza pumping out sequels.

Something like Gears could really use being put in the back pocket by MS and let some demand for it grow up organically. Maybe come back to it in 8-10 years with a new take or new developer

God of war was going downward as well after Ascension but they bounced back. Maybe infinite turns out to be good. U don't know that. Graphics not everything.

Series future way stronger. Their exclusive lineup bigger and more diverse. They got WRPGs coming, shooters coming, 3rd person action adventure games coming, racing games coming. Sony got no true WRPGs exclusives or no shooters. All they 3rd person action games. Thats only genre they good at.

What new Franchise/Title has Microsoft successfully released outside of Sea of Thieves this past generation?

Did you not know those games were released on ps4 in 2019 and 2020? Or do you need to read the thread title again so you're not confused?

So it isn't sarcasm......

1. Death Stranding and FF7 released on PS4 so those aren't new....... but Sea of Thieves which released on the Xbox One is new because of DLC.......right?

2. Horizon doesn't look any different but Forza and Halo do........ uh huh.

3. Flight Sim, a "game" out a YEAR ago is new...... why not call Hades new as well?

Nah, must be sarcasm.

The poll needs an "even/equal" option as it's pretty close on paper, you could pick 3 or 4 must have's from both

I surprised myself a bit here but I have to go with Xbox on this. Not much on PS5 that attracts my attention this year.

Halo is a big hitter. Even though nowadays is not as relevant as in the past it still has a lot of fans, especially on the PC. So I guess this puts the Xbox a bit ahead of the PS5. But whatever, in the end Nintendo will outsell both by a factor of 2.

I think both have great games coming up but nothing feels next gen to me except perhaps Horizon and Horizon. Both looked amazing. So hard to declare a winner.

Halo is Halo and I think it looked exactly like it should even last year. Going back to the roots of the series is what it needs I think. So I wasn’t as upset over the game like everyone else. Is it a big hitter? Ofcourse but maybe it excites existing fans more than the general public?

Personally I am most excited for:
Ratchet and clank
Horizon Forbidden west
Returnal
The Gunk
The Ascent
Kena

The others may be good but I’m not particulary hyped over those releases.

Lmao this thread. PS5 + 3070. Feel elite and can play anything I want. Just hoping the games actually live up to the hype

was that the question? your deflecting what was said previous and it was that the franchises Microsoft had needed a rest and I pointed out how long it was between games.
