Cool, sound right down my alley. Really happy that the large hub designs have came back into fashion somewhat (hopefully dishonoured and deus ex survived last year).I'd say the level and environmental design leans towards Deus Ex/Dishonored 2 hub levels, while everything else leans towards System Shock 2. There's a lot of emails to read.
I discovered the other way afterwards. Just break the glass in Morgan's officeAfter being able to use the gloo gun to make platforms that I could jump from across the Lobby to the art things made me decide to get this game soon
It's like a first person puzzle horror game. I love the combat, not too sluggish, but it feels heavy. A good heavy.
Really loved the demo, have spent over 3 hours with it so will definitely be picking it up on Friday. However, MY GOD, the hacking mini-game is one of the most infuriating things ever
I'm really surprised no one mentioned this yet. As much as I love the demo and as much as I love the original Bioshock...but this minigame is the absolut worst thing ever lol. It's as shitty as the Bioshock hacking mini-game ...even when you can't compare them in terms of gameplay.
Can someone describe this minigame? I actually love the pipe puzzles in BS1 but that awful fucking minesweeper shit from System Shock 2 can absolutely get fucked.
Hated hacking in SS2, it actually sometimes elicited more dread from me than some of the enemies and whhooooo boy there are some fucking enemies in that game.
I just wish it was more like "hacking" than being some arcade minigame. Like Deus Ex's hacking is fun and feels computer-y. Even if it's just figuring out a code like in Splinter Cell would be better than thisI had no problems with the hacking game, but I only did it 3 times on L1 things.
Watch from here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139815598?t=06m38s
It doesn't show spoilers and goes into hacking minigame.

Is it as painfully shitty as the one in Alpha Protocol?
That doesn't look bad at all.
Way better than pipes or mine sweeper.
EDIT: watched more of that video, holy fuck the System Shock 2 vibes are too fucking strong, I'm having rickenbacher flashbacks.
I completed the demo but rushed thru it, where is the dart gun?
It's an okay solution when you've given up on reaching something that's actually good.edit: Bioshock 2 hacking was perfect btw. This is how you do it.
Thanks for mentioning the 5% FB discount. I was already planning to get it so this was just another nice small bonus. Installing now, can't wait!I am weak and just bought the game from CDkeys for $35 u_u; They have it for $37 plus a 5% discount code you can get from their Facebook page.

I'm really really close to doing it today...but I'm afraid the port will suck and I'll get screwed.
But, I'm also afraid that The PS4 input lag won't be fixed so it might be better to risk it with the PC version.
Are the Dishonored DLCs good? Saw that the creative director of those was the lead designer of Prey. He also was a designer on the original Deus Ex
Bioshock x Deadspace?

many hours deep and still playing lol. Agreed with the System Shock stuff but man later...wow

I had no Deadspace vibes. I also don't think this is a horror game. Sure the setting and the creatures could easily come from a horror game, I just never felt under pressure or scared while playing through the demo.
Just for reference RE7, Dead Space 1/2 and Outlast were nearly too much for me to take.
But some people call Bloodborne a horror game, so...
Does it change that drastically?
I just think that will not at all be the only title folks compare it to for good reason and some of them won't be just the titles I think most folks are discussing here.
