Half-Life 1 is a game from a different era. But in a lot of ways, it feels pretty modern. Join me as we look at odd locations in this beautiful early-3d game.

The video explores the obscure and unusual areas in Half-Life, focusing on the Black Mesa Research Facility. The tour begins on the tram ride and highlights various details within the rooms, such as vending machines and open offices. The texture and design of the environment are examined, such as the weathered walls and pink rock formations. The toxic waste is also noted for its bright green glow. The video concludes with a look at the Black Mesa labs, including a world map and a wall featuring kitbashing design.

Good video but a better title would be Texture & Skybox Appreciation. He missed some areas I would have liked him to talk about. Like the secret office in Office Complex that you need to go out of your way and to get a security guard to open. Or the hole in the blown out hole in the wall you can go through in Surface Tension for extra supplies. The auto repair shop. And he says nothing about the dead HEV Suit wearing scientists in Xen which is fascinating to ponder.
