I guess it's debatable after all, but it's not THAT hard understand. Not like Moroccan/Algerian accent imo :p

See Gomu Gomu, I was right, here's a Saudi that doesn't understand Egyptian dialect! :P

But yeah Egyptian is definitely the most widely (that's not to say understood by *all*) understood of the dialects thanks to their immense film industry and media dominance. "Shlonek" makes me laugh loads! Yes I know the bedouin accent (always tons of Saudis on holiday in Egypt when I go), I don't understand it at all :lol

Ugh I feel weird doing this, I am pretty self-concious but I like how everyone is putting up their pictures, its making me brave. Here's me at a wedding a little while ago (seriously these are some of the latest shots of me).

As you can see, she clealy looks 13 in both, and she even has braces!

Agreed, Egyptian is pretty easy compared to other accents and because we hear it so often on tv. It doesn't have to mean that it's universal and should be understood by all.

I didn't expect here to be quite a few Arabian members in gaf, represent!

Do you laugh at shlonek because it also means what's your color? Oh and my speach is a lot more understandable than most bedouin saudi's but it's still noticeably bedouin. Maybe its because I'm an Otaibi who was raised around bedouins.

I'm surprised there are many arab gaffers, Arab-Age unite!

I think we all laughed at that at one point. I always wondered, Do they have Falahee and Madani in Saudi or any other arab country for that matter (Besides Falasteen, I know they have it there)?

Yeah IRL she kind of looks somewhere between the two pictures. The other pic probably made her look older than she usually does, and these pics make her look a little younger than usual. She's kind of in the middle, and can usually pass for a 15 year old.

Oh and RpgN, looks are deceiving. My sister is far from sweet and innocent :lol

As for the whole 'attention whore thing', lets be honest everyone posting pictures of themselves in this thread is an attention whore to some degree. I mean lets not sugar coat it, you're posting your picture for a bunch of strangers to look at in the hope that you're good looking, or interesting enough, for someone to make a comment.

RpgN posted her pic and got a bunch of comments and replies, all she’s doing is replying to those comments. To call her an attention whore, and not everyone else in this thread doing the same thing, is a little unfair IMO.

Well she hasn't been diagnosed with it, but now that you mention it, her large tongue is rather worrying (I hear this is a clear indication that one may have down syndrome.)

I'll be taking her to our doctors asap before it gets any worse...
