Wait there your eyes? O_O

or am i missing something here? lol

Yeah its my eye lol :) I would post the picture where it came from, but I'm not doing an Amanda :lol

And to whoever mentioned Middle Eastern, Morocco is in North Africa xD (right below Spain, so pretty far from the Middle East). But yeah, we do share a lot of Arab culture.

I didnt know morrocans spoke arabic. In any case i most likely couldnt understand anything. When egyptians talk to me it sounds like gibrish as is, and its one of the simplest arabic dialect variations. AMR DIAB FOREVAR!(no homo)

Where are you from?

Moroccans speak an Arabic mixed with French and other things if I remember correctly. But I think that they all learn "true" Arabic (fos7a) in school.

Egyptian arabic is really easy. Maybe because I am from Gaza and we have an mix of Palestinian, Egyptian and Lebanese Arabic.

The hardest arabic dialect must be the Iraqi one (Shako Mako makes me always laugh). But I've learned to understand it because most of the Arabs here in Sweden is Iraqis.

The day of graduation party:

The day AFTER graduation party, with the old couple from next door coming to congratulate, me being in a horrible hangover and pissed about having to wear that stupid hat, and pic being taken right before I rush to the toilet to puke:

These pics are new for you, but they're actually from last spring :<

why the hat?

It's the finnish graduation hat, really hard to explain what school because of the differences in the school systems. It's known as "gymnasium" in rest of Europe, I think. I'm 19 in those pics however.

It's (slightly) different all over Europe too, as far as I know.

It's just the basic equivalent to the US high school. And we have the fucking hats in Sweden too. I wouldn't mind the tradition if the hats weren't ugly.

You can make them quite good looking if you pay enough. I think that I paid about 700kr (more than 100$) for one shitty hat.

Yeah we have our own dialect that draws on Arabic and French (called darija). Its as different from Arabic as Portugese is to Spanish. So yeah you wouldn't understand me at all if I was to speak it. However my stepdad is Egyptian and a lot of my mum's friends are Lebanese, Egyptian etc so I've learnt Arabic.

And as Yazan said, in Morocco they learn proper Arabic (fos7a) and French at school. But that isn't applicable to me because I live in the UK.

My old scanner doesn't want to work with Vista, so this is actually a cropped picture....of a picture of my scrawny self lo these many years ago. Christmas 1991. It was a very Merry SNESmas indeed.

same here, got my snes that same xmas, my favorite xmas ever...also the last game console my parents bought me

Heh, I think the last console my folks bought me was the XBox, and that was probably around the time I moved out. There was still something nice about hooking it up in the living room with everyone in there watching me play Halo. It's difficult to say, but the console Christmas experience for me either peaked at the SNES and Super Mario World or the N64 and Mario 64. It's a close one.

After more than 2 years on GAF, I decided to also post a picture.

It's taken with my cell phone, and there's too much light, but you get the point. I'm actually never content with any picture taken of me, but thiswill have to make do.
