I'm on the android app and there isn't anything like that on my phone.
Check if there isn’t an update to the app.

I really don't understand how they are yet to enable the nvme expansion slot on these machines. Its been how long now?

There must be something wrong. It just doesn't make any sense.

I does makes sense. It's not about the expansion bay, but about the availability of those supported NVMe drives.

I like what they did with the Game Base, by separating the groups from friends list, and what they did on the Library, can finally hide all the demos and betas i played on PS4 and was showing on my game library. No more :p I still left PT un hidden because im masochist.

I left PT there too.

Weird how demos were on top of the actual game. I went to resident evil 2 and it said not playable. Chose hide and it was then playable (with disc) as the main game was hidden behind the demo.

Not a fan of party being first in game base, would rather it showed friends list by default.

yet another way to play PS5 games using a DualShock 4 and vise versa, and yet again it is through a weird and complicated back door... way to go!

Also, not sure if anyone needs to hear this, but it helped save me from buying a new external ssd. Apparently certain enclosure chipsets for external nvme drives don't play nice with the PS4/PS5 rest mode causing them to power off momentarily/need repair every time you go into rest mode. I got a new one today and it works great other than super slow download speeds (<0.5MB/s) from the rear USB A ports. I switched it to the front C port and speeds are identical to the internal drive (~75MB-100MB/s).

Link for anyone who wants to go this route: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPFV21K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for sharing and the info. I'm using an adata se800 external ssd nvme drive and have this issue with not being able to use it in rest mode without repairing everytime I turn the system on from rest.

Is there anything I can do to my external ssd drive to fix this? I can't open it and put it in a different encloser could I? Would it be best to maybe just sell it and get another one that is confirmed to work with the ps5? I've had it for a few months so can't return it.

Website even mentions that it's ps5 compatible but not being able to use it in rest mode is a deal breaker for me.

The random disc spinning appears to be improved.

Tonight, I played Ghost of Tsushima for an hour, followed by an hour of watching Netflix. Aside from the initial spin up at boot, I don't recall the disc spinning up during Ghost. It certainly didn't do it during Netflix.

Normally, the PS5 would spin up the disc twice during the two hours I have it on, but tonight it didn't do it. That's a massive improvement in my experience. Here's hoping that's now thing that's here to stay, and the PS5 wasn't just giving me a night off.

Yeah that was the same issue I dealt with and almost ended up getting a new SSD like the T5 or T7, BUT that enclosure I linked fixed those problems with my "old" nVME.

I've tried it on and off today and aside from the slow downloads from the back USBs, it's worked perfectly in rest mode.

The whole thing doesn't make sense. Why aren't there any supported nvme drives? Sony is big enough to strike partnerships with companies that can produce them. They've known about their nvme spec for very long time.. unless it was a last minute addition?

I really hope Sony fixes hdmi feature. As someone with more than just ps5 attached to TV, I hate it when ps5 turns on because I turned on TV to watch something else. No other devices I have auto turn itself on because TV input is set to it. Pretty annoying.

Uhhh is the update out yet? I don’t think I’ve gotten a notification of an update at all and the system says it’s up to date....

These things are impossible to find. For most PS5 users these features WILL be there on day 1.
Factually true but still annoying for consumers currently. Had to wait long for suspend mode on the ps4 so it's now a new experience really.
