Like the title imples; Are there any modern 3D brawlers in the vein of the old school Yakuza games or Anarchy reigns? The upcoming Streets of rage and Golden axe seems to be going in that direction. Sifu probably counts as one. Would be cool to see a take on Yakuza taking place in America going about beating down thugs/gangs by western devs (read. distinguished from "Like a dragon: infinite wealth").

Just to clarify; I'm not looking for something like openworld games such as Sleeping dogs, GTA or the Assassin's creed series where hand-to-hand combat is an element.

There was one shown on a showcase (maybe the xbox one) that looked like a beat em up, like streets of rage meets sifu but I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise made by Yakuza team.

It looks like just yakuza with a Fist of the North Star skin, they didn't even modify that object attack move, it's the same one in Yakuza 4.

Devil's Hunt, is on steam, it is so and so, AA type, but it is melee brawling linear story heavy game.

Its is basically Yakuza game with Fist of North Star IP but still very fun game.
