Embarrassing. Will kill the franchise for me if its not based in japan.
Actually would be a refreshing change imoWill kill the franchise for me if its not based in japan.
Is this … yakuza 8? Or another spin off?
Actually would be a refreshing change imo
they didn’t have GamePass for Like a Dragon 7 at release eitherno gamepass huh
Startin to smell a bit like weeb in here....That's the reason I said for me. I know there are people who prefer evey game based in the states like gta for the third decade in a row.
It's probably set in Hawaii, which most Japanese consider to be part of Japan anyway. Will kill the franchise for me if its not based in japan.
Guess I was just confused because the first teaser we saw was of Ichiban and Kiryu together in Kamurocho and all of their behind the scenes stuff showed most of the old crew coming back. It’s very tonally different.Next mainline one, it's called like a dragon now which is it's Japanese name.
Yakuza's middle name could be "tonally inconsistent"Guess I was just confused because the first teaser we saw was of Ichiban and Kiryu together in Kamurocho and all of their behind the scenes stuff showed most of the old crew coming back. It’s very tonally different.
I mean Sega does own Atlus. . .I enjoyed Y7 a lot, beat it, but it needs way better RPG mechanics. I hope they learned from that game or brought in a veteran from another company or something.

That's what I thought it was, seems like a spinoff of the great "minigame" I spent so much time in. Even if its smaller in scale thus more focused I wouldn't mind at all. Like another mentioned I can see this plus the Kiryu game setting up the next mainline title. Or maybe I'm totally wrong lol. Either way I'm in.This isn't Like A Dragon 8... is it?
Hope it's a business management game.
Lots of news outlets are reporting this is indeed 8Is this 8?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm I'll wait for more information I guess before judging too harshly...Lots of news outlets are reporting this is indeed 8

Why? Yakuza have a strong impact and presence alongside the Triads in Hawaii. It doesn't need to be set in Japan.
For me, one of the best parts is it's all in Japan, Hawaii is fine, but I hope it's not a mainstay. Why? Yakuza have a strong impact and presence alongside the Triads in Hawaii. It doesn't need to be set in Japan.
Seeing Yakuza and Persona announcements in an Xbox showcase is still weird and awesome. Love the progress that's been made with Japanese 3rd parties
This is the series in which a city like Kamurocho was reused over and over and over again. Setting at least a part of it outside Japan would be a welcome change.
I think they're planning to do a fish out of water scenario.I dont think the usual yakuza charm meet the states makes alot of sense tho.
