IMO Bloodborne and Sekiro are the best and second best games ever made

Blooodborne ok.
Sekiro.. not with that camera. Not sure why they added so many encounters in tight corridors and stuff, when they still haven't figured their lock-on/camera out fully. Not game breaking, but I also can't call it GOAT.

Sometimes, in others the boss comes with a proper implementation of stealth mechanics, allowing you to consistently use it to your advantage. Most importantly, it rewards you for learning the game's systems and makes these encounters interesting even if you try to use stealth.
In Sekiro can use stealth to take out one bosses health bar which give you big advantage, you just expecting instant kill them but they fucking bosses, that would make it boring if you could that.

Also why are you showing me MGV video, I was asking about if you can kill bosses in stealth in MGR.

In bosses its at most a mere handcap, unlike normal day-to-day gameplay where its an actual playstyle. It creates inconsistency within the game.

you just expecting instant kill them but they fucking bosses, that would make it boring if you could that.
Then implement stealth mechanics in bosses in a way thats challenging and fun or rewarding, like in the video i showed.
Or do away with them completely if they can't do that.

I was speaking of MGS, not MGR. MGR has no stealth mechanics besides a couple joke/easter egg moments.
It never gives you any illusion of it being a viable way to play, unlike Sekiro. Its consistent with itself, unlike Sekiro.

You story bosses you stealth them but you can do with mini bosses but at end of day they are bosses you can't instant kill them.

Stealth is one of your tools to deal with regular enemies and give advantage over mini bosses but Sekiro is not full on Stealth game, if it was I wouldn’t be interested in this game.

Even in Elden Ring you can use stealth to back stab enemies but it can’t use to kill bosses for you.

I'm not going to argue tbh. I think Sekiro is amazing. Bloodborne is also excellent.

Both could be argued to be. I would still think it probably goes to super metroid?

And as a core mechanic it should be useful to beat the game's most chellenging situations, not something to be cast aside whenever its inconvenient because the devs didn't knew how to implement it properly during boss fights.

To understand my complaints, just imagine the opposite situation. Imagine there was a "boss" in the game where the only way to beat it was through a lengthy stealth session that required a lot of patience. And if you failed it, its basically game over.

Or rather, there are a couple of sections in the game like that, the fish and the snake. Imagine if situations like that snake section were a constant unskippable thing throughout the entire game, would you enjoy that?

That’s no different than Dragon God and Old Hero boss in Demons Souls but that doesn’t make Demons Souls stealth game.

I rate Dark Souls 3 higher than Sekiro, but these are all TOP games. Bloodborne was the game that made me connect with gaming again, after a few years where I didn't really feel the spark. Seems like it had that effect on quite a few people, which must be the biggest compliment a game can get! Now please bring on that 4K 120fps PC-remaster...!

With Dragon God just like the big Snake in Sekiro you have to sneak through instead of fighting it head on but again that doesn’t make either Demons Souls and Sekiro a fucking stealth game.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Sekiro but so far most your so called “issue” are mostly your personal issue.

Yes, I replayed Bloodborne too this year and on LG C1 with motion smoothing fake 60fps it feels great to play. Sadly I’m afraid the price hike on PS+ might kill the online activity in Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons and co-op.
I tried that within the last year. What settings did you use? Because I couldn't manage to enable motion smoothing.

As i said i liked the game. I beat it. That doesn't mean i dont have my share of criticisms, or that i cant find all the singing of praises towards its combat and mechanics as 'best in class' to be undeserved.

That’s entirely depends on individual taste. I just happen to like Sekiro’s combat more than you. 🤷‍♂️

I pointed out specific problems and even gave video demonstrations of them. This is not something you can wave away as 'opinion' or 'taste'. At most you can say you really enjoyed combat despite its issues.

Souls-like are nothing but trash with one thing going for them - challenge. I cant wait until this genre dies out. If someone says to me that their fav game is something like Sekiro, the first thing that comes to my mind is "jesus, this dude is boring", that or he played like 10 games.

But hey, challenge is literally the last thing that I can about in video games, where I care about escapism and exploring an interesting universe with a great story, not honing my parry reflex skills. Dont take it personally, but I'm not trolling, I really hate this genre of games.

In a world where games with rich universes like Mass Effect or The Witcher exist, to go ahead and just say Sekiro is your fav game, i just find it really weird, even if you care about challenge, really THE BEST game? nah man, something wrong happened.
I think you are boring and need to git gud.

Games are about gameplay. If you want good stories, go watch a movie. Trust me, a good movie is 100x better use of your time than your average walking simulator.

I tried that within the last year. What settings did you use? Because I couldn't manage to enable motion smoothing.
LG: Set Display to Normal.
PS5: Deactivate VRR.
LG: All Settings > Advanced Setings > Display > Clarity > TruMotion (bottom in the row) > Set it to Smooth Movement or Natural or User Selection and do some manual stuff there but I have no clue how that works. Smooth or Natural works great.

For Bloodborne: Clarity >
Sharpness: Between 10 and 25. 17 is good. Looks 4K.
Super Resolution: Low or Off.
All other Clarity stuff Off except Cinemad Screen: On (should maybe be off)

Color: White balance: Warm 50 but I mostly use Reduce Blue Light which is a bit warmer. But in one category of Chalice Dungeons, the image is very yellow because of middle eastern sand theme so in that one I may set Warm 30 or so.

Brightness: OLED pixel brightness: 20 or whatever you currently want
Contrast: 80
Screen Brightness: 45
Off
Off
Gamma: BT.1886
Black level Full
Motion Eye Care Off


Some settings may be not the best

Bloodborne is my favorite FromSoft game. if I ever won a billion dollar lottery, I would hit up Miyazaki right away, then work on Sony. London Philharmonic Orchestra, ICE, Asobi/Shu/FromSoft... 60FPS/4k Target. Modern day Yharnam with dungeons and secret routes riddled within. Chalices take center stage, as they are now where a lot of the fighting takes place. Modern Yharnam would be considered a more complex hub, even similar to Old Yharnam, with some exploration and major boss fights to open more of the Hub.
Hunters Dream becomes a lot more important, if a sequel?... We would need to take into account; everything that happened in BB1.

With the Lovecraftian Lore... there is a literal Blank Canvass for us. So much to explore and implement.

I get bored to tears playing 'soulslike' games. Elden Ring, Bloodbourne, Nioh, Sekiro, The Surge 1&2, Lord of the Fallen, etc. I've played them all hoping one of them would resonate with me, but after 2 hours of the same repetitive combat and razer thin narrative, I always nope out and play something else. I can appreciate their merits, but calling them the 'best games ever made' is insane. They are a niche at best.

Bloodborne is amazing and probably my second best game of all time.
Sekiro is also a masterpiece, but not sure I'd place it third. Probably best action game.

First spot is obviously Dark Souls for me. Aside of Bloodborne and Hollow Knight, nothing came close to challenge its place on the throne.
 
I want a poll to see how many people finished sekiro me 38 couldn't finish ishinn have a friend who borrowed my disc he gave up somewhere midgame too

What a boss. The atmosphere, the music, the moves, the transformation, the weapons, the way he dies. Too epic.
First time I defeated that boss, I got goosebumps. The tension and concentration required was amazing.

Miyazaki and team, please don’t ever stop. Thank you for existing. I appreciate you.

I love Bloodborne. I've played through it half a dozen times and it's in my all-time top 5. But I could never vibe with Sekiro. I like the setting and atmosphere, but the deflecting mechanic has never really clicked with me. Most of the time with the smaller enemies or mini-bosses I can manage timing the deflections, but bosses usually wreaked havoc on me. I want to try it again in the neat future, but the last two attempts were unfruitful.

I’ve only played Sekiro and it’s easily one of my favourite games of the last decade+. From made a beautiful, frustratingly difficult, hand-injury inducing artwork.
