Multi-platform release. This one launched only on a PS5. Also, digital now is way bigger than it used to be back then.It was lower than 15 on ps4 which was also on two consoles.
Excuses excuses, 80% of FF15 sales were on ps4 in ukMulti-platform release. This one launched only on a PS5. Also, digital now is way bigger than it used to be back then.
Let's wait for the digital figures before we make assumptions.Excuses excuses, 80% of FF15 sales were on ps4 in uk
How are those excuses?Excuses excuses, 80% of FF15 sales were on ps4 in uk
Likewise it seems like you want to convince yourself that it's some smashing success. Like others said, more data will paint a more accurate picture. How are those excuses?
I stated facts:
- This is a PS5 only release (less platforms; less dev costs)
- Digital is now bigger than it used to be.
It seems like you want to convince yourself that FF16 is now suddenly a flop lmao.
Diablo 4 was on 4 consoles and FF16 beat Diablo 4. What does that say?It was lower than 15 on ps4 which was also on two consoles.
I don't think we can use these boxed sales as proof for or against what Imran said.Find it hilarious how this whole conspiracy theory started from that awful "journalist/insider" Imran Khan who is notorious for getting nothing right.
But because it was anti Sony (not picking sides here, if it was an anti Xbox argument, Sony fans would've done the same), warriors on the internet went wild with it.
That you need the digital results of Diablo 4 and those of FFXVI to draw conclusions but, apparently, that doesn't matter to open threads like this...Diablo 4 was on 4 consoles and FF16 beat Diablo 4. What does that say?
When did I decline that notion? of course, the more data we get the better picture we'll have.Likewise it seems like you want to convince yourself that it's some smashing success. Like others said, more data will paint a more accurate picture.

Imran actually gets lots of things right.Find it hilarious how this whole conspiracy theory started from that awful "journalist/insider" Imran Khan who is notorious for getting nothing right.

It would be a crime if this became true. There's less than a 1% chance this becomes true.Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
It's also a $70 game, so revenue will be much higher than the previous game. They don't need to sell the same, unless you are tracking units to units only. How are those excuses?

Diablo 4 sucks toDiablo 4 was on 4 consoles and FF16 beat Diablo 4. What does that say?
They were panicked because they couldn’t keep up with how fast the game is selling.
You jesting?Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
Don’t be delusional.Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
Interestingly the game was discounted almost 20%* and bundled with some goodies day 1 in my supermarket, not the best sign of confidence.
Also I didn’t expect it to be below Jedi Survivor launch week, woah.
*17.5% to be completely accurate
Diablo 4 was on 4 consoles and FF16 beat Diablo 4. What does that say?
Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
Pretty stupid flex. Lets be realistic here, Diablo 4 is a multi platform release. FF16 is currently a PS5 exclusive. FF16 has no shot in beating D4 in overall sales.
But 15 was also cheaper as it predated the £70 games, and with lower inflation in economies would have been getting picked up for somewhere in the £45-60 range online. It was lower than 15 on ps4 which was also on two consoles.
Final Fantasy will end up selling more than Starfield.
Not physical in the Uk apparently
It already did in physical sales which is kind of impressive to be honest, or perhaps bad for Diablo 4.Pretty stupid flex. Lets be realistic here, Diablo 4 is a multi platform release. FF16 is currently a PS5 exclusive. FF16 has no shot in beating D4 in overall sales.
I was going to say this. Gamepass will cannibalise sales.Because of Gamepass this is unironically true
There's nothing to suggest that or otherwise though. You jesting?
Final Fantasy has no legs. Starfield will be a phenomenon, regardless.
I heard reading is hard, but you've proven it.Not physical in the Uk apparently
Why you guys going off topic because I called you on ff15 s uk sales vs ff16
In physical sales, in the UK. That's pretty specific. The majority of Diablo's playerbase is also on PC.It already did in physical sales which is kind of impressive to be honest, or perhaps bad for Diablo 4.
Is that a good measure?? I mean D4 was on gamepass…
What? No, it is not on any subscription service. Is that a good measure?? I mean D4 was on gamepass…
Yeah, I mentioned that in the post you quoted. In physical sales, in the UK. That's pretty specific. The majority of Diablo's playerbase is also on PC.
Is that a good measure?? I mean D4 was on gamepass…
I mean I’m not an expert on stuff he gets right and wrong but he was pretty spot on about Sony trying to grab Starfield (timed or full exclusivity) before Microsoft purchased Zenimax. He could have been right on this too, I think it’s just dumb console war fodder to fuel warriors, unfortunately.Find it hilarious how this whole conspiracy theory started from that awful "journalist/insider" Imran Khan who is notorious for getting nothing right.
