Fable | Gameplay Trailer released

My only complain is that everything looks too realistic and bland, I'd rather have a more cartoonist art style

And about Berserk, yes, Griffith totally has the hots for Guts; he doesn't love him, because only loves himself, but he wants him. That's why he hates Casca and also why Guys leaving the band is the last straw making him snap
Yeah, I would have gone less realistic with it and make it more stylish/cartoony. It is really off-putting having realistic aspects, like the character models, combined with mediocre or low res terrain. Makes it look disjointed. Maybe it is more consistent by next year

Honestly, if I was on their marketing team, I'd have had the team show at least one extremely attractive lady in the video. It ran for half an hour, so it's not like they were short on time. Not every lady needs to be sexualized in the game, but it's blatantly obvious that sex sells. Seriously, just one example would have helped them avoid all of this. It wouldn't take anything away from the game.

When you go outside in the real world you see all sorts of people. Ugly people, Good looking people and stuff in between. The world is filled with a vast variety of humans. When it comes to women, there are women with a huge varieties of features, big chest, big ass, no chest, skinny, fat, etc. That's real diversity and this is what we should get in these types of games. Not everyone needs to be a perfect doll but there should be variety from every group

But these people just want to add ugly people in their games and remove any trace of beauty (probably personal projection) and on top of it they want to remove any sort of physical features in female npcs that resembles a woman.

And these people are the ones calling and preaching for diversity and inclusion which is absolutely absurd and hypocritical because they purposefully remove from their games an entire portion of the population or even worse, which is taking good looking people and uglyfying them

I definitely understand the frustration. To this day, I don't get why some teams seem to treat the largest demographic of console and PC gamers as an enemy. Not every game needs titillation, but if you're going to code a whole romance system that includes nearly every NPC, some titillation might be a good idea. If it's already in the game, they should have marketed it. If it's not, they should probably address that. They're trying to sell copies after all.

I found funny how the commentator says there are 2 hours of cutscenes with this great level of quality and it was just 3 random npcs standing with robotic animations like the latest Assassins Creed. How is this immersive in any way? And how on earth do they consider this high quality?

Do you really expect a 7 years in development, nextgen only, with a huge budget and npcs interactions focus to beat a 4 years old crossgen when it comes to npcs chitchats tech?

Cmon be realistic.

Pulease,

I don't mind trying to make an argument but let's not use the completely oblivious From Software's technical skills as one of those arguments.
Thats the point, FROM isnt known for their technical skills, hell they are known from having barely any, yet still their walking animation isnt so offputting like here, which leads me and many others to simple conclusion- here it was done delibaretly.

I know nothing about Fable, but why do they all look extremely gay?
Coz tons of women and decepticons in devteam, bro, any straight men left are full on soyboy cuckholds who follow women's lead, thats the final result of DEI policies, they arent just parasites doing nothing but sucking 6 and 7figures yearly salary for 5-6-7 years of devtime of current gen game, now they are in the lead, deciding what to implement and how to implement it directly lowering quality of the product which will lead to abysmall sales despite humongous budget =/

Women who this game is made for will not buy it anyways, its a pipedream thinking u can get rid of male audience and instead females come and buy ur feminsit infested game in droves, only really succesful game for women(75% female audience, 50m sales or so, is animal crossing on switch).

Why u think only games with really good sales from current gen MS was starfield from bethesda(terrible but we all were hyped af hoping its skyrim in space, huge dissapointment even for western rpg and bethesda fanatic like myself who bought og xbox for morrowind back in the days) and FH5 that u couldnt make super woke no matter how they tried coz racers genre is just that, u cant make car walk lika a gay guy/woman fable style :messenger_grinning_squinting: :messenger_grinning_squinting: :messenger_grinning_squinting:

the simpsons stupid sexy flanders GIF
Those were my thoughts immediately. I was my dude is rocking a lot of cake back there. I say good. It's about time men get fat asses just like women in our games. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Now I'm excited to see the female characters, don't let me down playground, I want ya all to add it up!

My only complaint is the self congratulatory prick doing the voiceover who cannot miss one occasion to tell you what they just did.
Sounds like he is talking to investors.
If i have to hear bullshit about how great fable is and how every systems successful in other games are included in it, i want it said by the great Bullshiter himself, Peter Molyneux, not a dumb community manager.

The art style looks nice. Combat could be ok.

What they showed however seems like it will be shallow as fuck gimmick. What is the point of being able to "buy anything, date anyone, hire anyone" when it is all bunch of prescripted automatons with personality of wet blanket and no ability to have any meaningful dialogue?

This stuff is completely useless and they should not have wasted time on it.

The game could still be good if the writing is strong (doubtful in today's clownworld sanitized UK) and exploration is engaging (possible).

Overall I am somewhat skeptical, but...the graphics sure does look nice.

Oh boy where do I start? I was actually excited at first because it's GORGEOUS but then 30 minutes later I'm bored to tears about all these stupid romances and boring ass dialogue sequences. I mean, okay, they are trying to show you can own buildings like the OG fables but you didn't need 30 minutes of Gameplay Trailer for that. Then combat was a bit weird. It doesn't look BAD but it also doesn't look TIGHT or engaging. It looks very random tossing out spells and one hit kills mixed with a bunch of NPC AI who are just standing around looking at you and not attacking. I'm glad they have until February because it looks like it needs ever minute of time in the oven.

Fable looks like a game that won't sell system but is just nice to have. Nothing about it screams "must buy".

Costumes design are god awful. Frills everywhere.
In other words, a game made for a subscription service. :D

In all seriousness, I feel like Infamous Second Son had much better mocap than what we're seeing here.

It's not "some teams" it's everyone, because that's a top-down imposition. Microsoft production guidelines are public in their website and they are very clear on how you must depict women in their games. These rules are general for every corpo in America, the reason why Sony, Amazon and everyone else does the same. They hire Z-tier artists because they don't need top talent for producing the bullshit made up by the suits in the Board Room.
