28th October will be the release date for Rockstar's PSP-exclusive Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the company confirmed today.
The game is being produced jointly by past masters Rockstar North alongside Rockstar Leeds, the company's handheld gaming specialists.
The news follows on from the launch of the game's official website, which featured, among other things, an official trailer, as well as the first screens of the game. The game debuts in North America three days previously on October 25th.

In addition, we got our first glimpse of how the game is shaping up last week, and can happily report that the game is looking every bit as good as fans would hope.
Ah, so you like that series where you do stupid tasks (like clean up spilled paint!) and kill some random enemies by jumping on them!!ThongyDonk said:Yep.
Roll up those sleeves for yet another GTA game where you do stupid tasks and kill some random guys!!
(I have a PSP I can comment)

Anyway killer lineup for PSP in Europe in October: GTA, Pro Evolution Soccer,SSX,WRC,Pursuit Force etc
Speevy said:Well, if you ask me, GTA does suck. If you ask those 8 gazillion people who bought it, I'm sure they'll differ.
ThongyDonk said:Oh thats the game series that actually is fun to play and doesn't rely on the endless killing of people to keep you going.
Go on admit it. all you do is go around and shoot people.
At least the series you mentioned tries different things and not just changes the main character and city environment!
Thongy, you can comment even if you don't have a PSP. Its not what hardware you do or don't possess that will have people responding to how braindead your comment was.ThongyDonk said:(I have a PSP I can comment)

Yeah, that Mario series sure does innovate. You run around and jump on (ie - kill) enemies...ThongyDonk said:Oh thats the game series that actually is fun to play and doesn't rely on the endless killing of people to keep you going.

To be serious for a moment, it's perfectly OK to present an opinion provided you can actually back it up with experience. You just admitted that you had not really played the game proper. Your opinion is worthless if it is based on nothing.i have an opinion, and YET AGAIN sonybots hate when someone has an opinion that doesn't match their own.
Immediately, it's apparent that the PSP has very little trouble dealing with the technical demands of a full-blown GTA game, and as such it looks like a huge improvement over GTA III in every sense: the draw distance - while by no means perfect, with plenty of pop-up evident - is acceptable, the frame rate looked rock solid and smooth, and the character models looked up to San Andreas standard, complete with the trademark Rockstar mannerisms, and - yes - lifelike hands.
Elsewhere, the technical improvements were more than evident, such as reflections on the car and road, shadowing, the damage modelling on the vehicles, a variety of different weather effects, such as thunderstorms, snow, and glorious sunsets. Moreover, Rockstar claim that the weather will affect vehicle handling, too. It looks as good as anyone could reasonably hope. "It's a joint project between Rockstar North and Rockstar Leeds, and they've been working on it for two years now. It really shows what you can get out of a PSP." Indeed it does; comparing this to previous handheld GTA efforts shows just how far the industry has come.

You also presneted your opinion in a childish fashion, which immediately kills any credibility you may or may not have.
ThongyDonk said:yep. such a shame that gameplay really didn't ask me to play it?
ThongyDonk said:yep.
thats what i do!!
i give a game a try before i am in a position to critisize it. This puts me in a position where i can do this without retort!

I'd call what someone is doing with your nick and your daughter's picture over there "childish", but that would be an offense to children everywhere. Children have far more decency than that.

GTA and PSP threads are like rat poison for trolls, you see the bait get set, the pests bite into it and a few minutes later they turn up dead.
BTW is Michael Madsen actually confirmed as the voice actor for Toni Cipriani? I've watched the tralier a few times and it doesn't seem to sound like him at all, plus some guy at Gamefaqs claims it's actually James Remar as Toni's voice, who is also doing the voice for his character in The Warriors.
