That wasn't the classiest thing to do, but that is fucking hilarious. More power to you for having a GF who would receive that well too, if only it worked. Good luck with the rest of the fam bro, I hope for the best. You may have a vengeful mom working against you now =X
 
I really want to know what they tell the church elder. Do they tell them about your hairy butt? Or just about their daughter and you having premarital sex.

I can believe this sort of thing. A good friend of mine from NJ goes to the New Apostolic Church in that area. The elders in that church are the senior lay persons. They'll give sermons or readings and generally are involved in the church.

His church frowns upon people going to movies, dancing, drinking alcohol and premarital sex. Of course, my friend never followed any of those restrictions but he kept it on the down low. I remember giving the best man speech at his wedding and made references to going to movies & stuff and didn't realize at the time that his church frowned upon that stuff. There were a bunch of people from his church at the reception. Oops.

Maybe not the worst, but it sure as hell is an obstacle when I want to either try new things to make progress in certain areas, and I'm worried by how I'll be perceived by others. Rationally, I can tell myself not to care, but emotionally it's a different matter.

One problem is that when other people see me learning, or I sense that they are, then I panic and find it really difficult to do so. So much easier when I'm by myself.
 
I was really hoping that when your GF came over to talk to you about the situation you would have recreated the whole event just to show her how harmless and funny it would have been.

Maybe next time.
 
Just remember you didn't really do anything wrong. I guess the only issue here is that they didn't know you two were having sex.

I thought this stuff only happened in bad teen movies that feature all kind of "never gonna happen in real life" situations. Maybe I have to reconsider and give some credit to those movies.

And yes embarassment is perhaps the worst emotion but that's not what I expected entering the topic, :D :D :D
 
That's nothin'. You guys wanna hear something really embarrassing? Just a few weeks ago, I was at this party with some new friends, and someone was playing some Bae. I jokingly commented that I wanted to hear some Bae, and they immediately corrected me before my joke got out. Now they think I don't listen to the Queen Bee when I really do!

Talk about a disaster!

But yeah, I wouldn't know where to begin with the parents.
 
OP, I was going to give you an answer along the lines of "if you are embarrassed, it means that you care too much about what people think of you"... But then I read your story. Hoo boy, it's a doozy.

It'll blow over. These things tend to be laughed of as time goes along. Hope it did not fuck up the relationship with your GF because of her parents' reaction. Considering the fact that you pulled off this stunt without hesistation means you've got something special going with this lady.
 
The worst thing about embarrassment like that is that you are going to feel just as embarrassed, if not more, whenever you think about it. FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

I feel for you man, that's awful. But seriously, what were you thinking.

OMG this story. Thanks for this, OP.

Sorry to hear that happened, OP. It won't be the end of the world but it'll definitely take some time before either you or her parents can look at each other without being reminded of this. Hope it works out in the end!
